Hello there, my loca GW is organizing a 1000pt "friendly" Tournament, and for the firs time i will try my deathwatch.

It appears to me; from my limited experience of deathwatch, is that their playstyle bears an uncanny resemblance to the harlequins and dark elder of 7th ed, but more... 'mariney'...

ultimately you have a classic glass hammer here. neither enough firepower to wipe a lot of enemies on that all important alpha strike; nor enough bodies to take the return blows from the survivors...

IMO you need to drop maybe the bikes, in favour of a CHEAP 3rd kill team... even if theyre just bolters, your scoring abilities will increase for camping out... albeit at the cost of some maneuverability.

a rhino would mitigate that loss of mobility except by this point we're rapidly running out of points to spend, and the only unit that could concievably be dropped is the dread, who i feel should be doing enough heavy lifting to have earned his place in your list; multi wound, high toughness and volume of fire makes the dread a real MVP....

out of interest though would dropping the dread and the bikes give you enough points for a second corvus? i'm looking at a second close range unit that plans on footslogging....

-I look forward to helping to refine this list;

Thanks for the answer!

I also think that the dread is something that can be changed. However in a low-point game, having a model that attracts heavy fire and drive some attention from the corvus can be useful....

Yeah, this is also a good point, but i think that bike can give some badly needed mobility that a foot kill team can't provide, and they have the same amount of wounds.

A part from the corvus, the captain and the first frag cannon kill team i'm not sure about the rest of the list

Maybe swap the dread for some Vanguard Veteran?
