Apologies if this has already been asked (I couldn't find it when searching), or if the answer is obvious, but I'm wondering how the rules work with monsters and other units that have deterioratring stats as they suffer wounds, with regard to healing. On a warscroll, the column for determining the effectiveness of a model is "Wounds Suffered" but if that wound is then healed, is it still considered to have been suffered for the purposes of that table?

So for example, if I have Drycha, she starts with 10 wounds, and her Slashing Talons attack has 6 attacks. She then suffers 2 wounds, which would bring Slashing Talons down to 5 attacks. If I then use regrowth to heal her back up to 10 wounds, does Slashing Talons go back up to 6 attacks? It seems logical to me that it should, but I'm not 100% sure. The problem I can see is that a rules lawyer could say, "well, it says 'wounds suffered' - those wounds still happened, even if the wounds characteristic has been set back up to 10." Or is that how it's supposed to work? The table does say "wounds suffered" rather than "wounds remaining." If that is how it works, then I've been playing it wrong! Also, it would be difficult to keep track of, you'd effectively have two wounds characteristics to keep track of.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I’m not sure where in the book it is, but I’m positive if you heal them back, then you get stronger again. They aren’t suffered anymore; they’ve been healed.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

That's correct.
Clarified in the FAQ for the Core rules.

pg 6
Q: If a monster heals wounds, does it still count as having
taken those wounds for the purpose of making its attacks and
abilities weaker?

A: No. You use the line that corresponds to the monster’s
current number of wounds, so a monster will get better
if it can heal wounds.
