I'm curious..... since I'm going to make a Biker army....

For 2000 points....

Which army has the most bikes?
Which army has the most effective bikes for Shooting / CC / Anti-Tank?
Which army has the best overall Bike army?

I guess, if you were to make a 2k Biker Army, what would it be, and why?

I know this is subjective, but which list is the most WAAC or most Fluffy? I like to make my army lists 60% WAAC and 40% Fluffy.

I would go with the new Custodes.

Bow down to Guilliman for he is our new God Emperor!

Martel - "Custodes are terrible in 8th. Good luck with them. They take all the problems of marines and multiply them."

"Lol, classic martel. 'I know it was strong enough to podium in the biggest tournament in the world but I refuse to acknowledge space marines are good because I can't win with them and it can't possibly be ME'."

DakkaDakka is really the place where you need anti-tank guns to kill basic dudes, because anything less isn't durable enough.

Whoa....

1 HQ and 20 bikes for Custodes is base 1960 points....

Seems like an "elite" biker army to me

Do you want PURE Bikes is the question.

I bet Orks will have a blast when their codex lands at least.

Yes. Pure bike force.

I don't have the codexes, so I don't know which one to invest into for my project.

Well the Custodes Bikers are worth their weight in gold.

Marine Bikers are pretty mediocre, but I've heard of people having success with Scout Bikers.

Very fast, decent shooting, a psyker and a character-killer. Obviously not WAAC but it might do ok.

This is another voice in favor of Custodes Jet bikes. they're pwoerful, it's a small force. and if you decide you really want some other options as you expand the entire Imperium of man is open to you.

Sam Haim elder jetbike army is OP as all getout currently.
something like 36 jetbikes..........

Custodes bikers are stronk.
2 squads of 10 with abiker captain or 7 biker captains and 2 squads of 5.

Dark angels field a pretty mean biker army as well.

I don't know that I'd recommend pure bikes out of Custodes; I've found having the Vexilla Magnifica to hide behind on turn 1-2 makes it a lot easier to get into combat. Running twenty bikes is a thing you could do but I'd advise against doing anything like squads of 10; the ability to spread out your melee hammers is going to do you a lot more good than concentrating (there aren't really any stratagems that scale in effectiveness with the size of a biker squad). Don't bother with missiles, watch out for snipers, and go really aggressive really quickly and it might work.

Addendum: Saim-hann Shining Spear armies are strong, Windriders are still in the doghouse. Shining Spears are about 1.3x the cost of a Windrider and get a better armour save, an Invulnerable save, and all the madness that is the Laser Lance (one S6/AP-4/D2 shot at range and then two S6/AP-4/D2 attacks in melee) (making the Saim-hann reroll-charges trait actually really good) out of the deal, in exchange for the ability to trade their gun for more expensive (and frequently worse) guns.

Orks codex won't be released before 6 months at least, and currently orks warbikes are terrible. I wouldn't recommend an army of ork bikers at the moment, unless you're interested in the models hobbywise.

Ork Bikers are the only ones that look like "bikers" Leather jackets, goggles, and using chains, and wrenches as weapons. Also power klaws are great in combat and you can mount up a KFF on a bike to give the unit an invuln save.

Eldar bikers look like bikers in the sense of the Tour De France bikers. tight, bright clothes usually in neon colors with streamlined helmets.

But you could do Ynnari with Eldar bikers, harlequin skyweavers and drukhari reavers. Reavers look like street racer bikers.

Honestly CWE would be the best Pure bike army. Shiny Spears, Windriders, Vypers.

Easiest army to build paint and still be strong? Custodes
