Subject: [1000] - Drukhari or GSC - Need Help! Drukhari or GSC
I have a game this even against a seasoned player.
we are both playing with armies we have never played before and started collecting.
He is bringing Tyranids and force contains 1 OLD Start Collecting box, 1 new Start Collecting box, More Genestealers, Termagaunts and Gargoyles. I am not sure what he is bringing exactly but thats the majority of his force.
I am either going go bring Drukahri or Genestealer Cult. I have made 2 list that on paper look like they will deal damage and also hold up for a few turns. What list do you guys think I should play?
Archon [4 PL, 76pts]: Agoniser, Blaster, Phantasm Grenade Launcher, The Parasite's Kiss
+ Fast Attack +
Reavers [15 PL, 314pts] . Arena Champion: Agoniser
. 6x Reaver
. Reaver with special weapon (up to 1 for 3 models): Blaster
. Reaver with special weapon (up to 1 for 3 models): Heat lance
The drukhari list looks pretty good with a lot of blasters and a good amount of poison. But having several units on foot may cause a bit of a problem as they will fall to shooting in short order.
With the Leman Russ list, you may suffer from getting charged and then not being able to fall back and shoot. Genestealers are crazy fast and can in many scenarios get a turn 1 charge depending on how he plays it. So your tanks put out great firepower, but if charged, they will be almost useless.

Plan for the Dark Eldar list was to put 2 5 Guardian Squads in the Raider, the other 5 man in the venom and then to have the 10 man squad be accompanied with the Archons.
I actually ended up going with the GSC list and what you said happen. A Flyrant charged one of the Russ's and brought it down to 2 wounds. I then charged the Flyrant with my Genestealers + Primus and unleashed 90 S5 attacks. Easy to say that the Flyrant didn't survive that many dice.
I won the game 12-7 so pretty happy with the outcome.
