Considering getting a shinier dreadnaught for my Pallid Hand Death Guard army.
I'm not sure which one to get? I'll probably end up getting both at some point but for now I only have the budget for one? I like the looks of both albeit the Leviathan does have the added benefit of looking bigger and thus more intimidating on a playing field.
But what do you guys think?
I'm open the weapon recommendations too, I've never used them so what is everyone's opinion of either?

I really like the look of the Death Guard Leviathan dread. Since its rules favor close range and melee (shield, hell flamers) I'd definitely buy at least one close combat weapon - go with the rule of cool for which one you prefer.

For the other arm, the butcher cannon array looks awesome. It does out a ton of damage against hard targets and against infantry the -2 ld can make marines and other stuff that usually does not care about moral explode.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Definitely the leviathan with its 16x S8 shots or Grav Flux for some serious anti-horde/anti-tank firepower.

The Leviathan is pretty potent, but becomes a fire magnet really quick. They're also pricey - I ordered mine before ever even looking at the stats or cost, or weapons...based solely on looks. I rarely field it since they sit around 350 points a pop.

It is cool, though I can't say mine have done anything particularly amazing in the two games in which I've fielded it. I do have a second I'll be building for fun. Maybe two will form the base of a small cool army. I do think the Leviathan is one of the best looking designs to come from GW in a long time. I dig the Deredeo too, but don't trust resin for long spindly weapon barrels.

PS: Magnetize your weapon arms...hugely important. The Leviathan can be a beast in close-combat but sometimes that's wasted if you're running an expensive claw with nothing to fight. I currently own one of each claw/drill and as a Chaos player a grav flux bombard(?) and the autocannon one.

I like both, but purchased two Leviathans because I love the way they look.
