This list is Ultramarines and their famous Auxilla - I'm going to friendly but tough; a couple of notches underneath GT tournament level. This is likely the list I'll bring to local low-key RTTs. I've written this to be optimized for ITC format (i.e. 9 model guard units).

The idea is to use the Guardsmen for board control and holding objectives. Guilliman, the Hellblasters and the Deredeo form the primary firebase, and push up (usually center of the board). The Intercessors, Ven Dread and some Guardsmen form the second/flank team. The Stormtalons fly around to clear infantry off of objectives and/or support a weak flank as required.

The non-ITC version of this list looks a little different, but this is the gist of it.

Super-Heavy Aux
Roboute Guilliman

Ultramarine Patrol
Tigirious
Ven Dread w/ Twin Autocannon & Twin Las
Relic Deredeo w/ Plasma Carronade & Atomantic Parvaise
8x Intercessors (Power Sword and Aux Grenade)
9x Hellblasters (RF 30" gun)
2x Stormtalon Gunship (Twin AC + HBs on both)

Astra Militarum Batallion (They're painted Ultramarine Colors, I usually use Cadian rules, but am open to input on the best rules to use for them
2x Company Commander
5x Infantry Squad w/ Mortar Team

Froth at the top, dregs at the bottom, but the middle - excellent

If you could find the points, I’d add in an Ancient to the Marines to allow the Hellblasters another shot if they die.

Personally, I think this could be done by dropping the 5th Guard squad and maybe 1 Intercesstor. This then gives you a Vanguard detachment rather than a Patrol detachment – and, as you only have 4 orders to begin with, you’re not sat with 1 squad feeling “left out”.
