Hey guys, looking for some inspiration for the large jetbike bases that come with the vertus praetors. There is so much potential for this bases to show off the dynamic of a jetbike flying over it but atm my creativity is lacking so I would be glad to see some pictures for inspiraton

What do your normal Custodes bases look like?? We would be able to help more if we know that, because at the moment you may as well just google basing ideas.

Well my other imperial bases are city themed, so astrogranite as texture but they dont have to fit. I am looking for something that as stated would be more dynamic and fitting to a grav bike that zoomes around the battlefield. I just have no clue how to model a "dynamic looking base". I am toying with the idea of a snowy grave yard with lots of bones pushed to the sides of the base by the bike engines.

I think it would be better, if you're planning to use them in the same army, to have them match your other Custodes.

I don't use the GW texture paints, but theoretically you could achieve some sort of furrow effect with it to indicate a jetbike's wake.

Put a very, very thin layer of the paint down. then build it up a bit towards the edges of the base parallel to the jetbike's direction. Paint the area directly under the bike fairly dark and get a bit lighter the further out of it's shadow you get.

Take some GWs Imperial Sector building parts and build a small, demolished shack?

I went for burning stuff on my Vendetta. A bit bigger than your base but the principles are transferable

That is a pretty cool idea, good chance to hide that darn stick as well.
