Sorry for the basic question, but to clarify... Do ¨Friendly units within x cm can Blah Blah Blah...¨ abillities affect the model itself with the ability? So can Aeldari Avatars reroll failed charges? Or do Heralds of Tzeentch get +1S for themselves?

Yes, it says in the BRB models are always within their own auras.

It's in the bottom of the right-hand sidebar on the first page of the Shooting Phase rules (p179 if using the big book).

Provided they have the correct Keywords (and are not embarked) they are always within their own range.
