Here is a list that gives the BA and custodes characters a mighty 18 command points (regaining them on 5+ and stealing the opponent's CP on a 5+). I'd hand out 'blood games' to the custodes captain with the relic jetbike, 'death company' to the two captains and have them deep strike and charge on 3D6. Mephiston, celestine and the bikers start behind the screen of cadians and BA scouts and move up to murderise people. Mortars sit back and shoot. Plasma special weapon squads can boost damage or cap objectives as needed. I'd use plenty of CP on the BA and custodes stratagems allowing for brutal extra attacks in CC, and potentially jetbikes charging in the opponent's assault phase. Mephsiton seems like a bit of a luxury to me. Not sure if I should swap him out for something, but his statline and psychic powers are decent for his cost.

You'll only have 16 CP - Creed has to be the Warlord to gain his extra 2 (just like Bobby G and Abaddon etc).

It’s also worth noting that – while you have 16CP, you’re spending 6 before the game begins, without the ability to regain those 6.
Taking into account, the likelihood of you wanting to save 1CP to deny slay the warlord, you’re now down to 9CP at the start of the game.
Decent of Angels is another 2CP, so chances are you’ll only be sitting on 7CP after your first turn – but if you’re planning on boosting the attack of 1 Captain (1CP for d3 extra) and then another 2 for the extra attacks on 6’s to hit, your 16CP is now looking more like 4. If you need to get one of the jetbikes into combat with the stratagem, you’re now looking at 1CP left. (granted by this point, on average you’d have regained 2.6 CP – but as we know averages don’t always average…)

Just something to bear in mind.

On the flip side, you have a lot of early game table control. If you can use that to gain a large lead early on, then you’ll hold a lot of advantages over your opponent.
One thing to watch out of though, is highly mobile forces and high fire power shooting armies. Properly screened tank lines could also be a problem, as you’re main way of dealing with them is combat – and you’re not going to be able to get into combat with them all straight away. If you don’t get 1st turn, it’s going to hurt a lot of the time.

Thats really good feedback, thanks!

Ah thanks for the advice about creed - hadn't realised that he had to be the warlord. Guess that nets me 40pts more stuff though if I swap him to a regular commander.

I guess even 16 CP doesn't last forever... It does mean I have at least one good use of each stratagem and can focus the remaining ones on what I have left though.

To be fair, i'm only jealous that my current lists and the units i want to include come nowhere close to getting 16CP Using Creed gets me to 10, at best :( (though i am building lists with the LGT restrictions in mind)
