Hail Warlords

Below is an attempt at a competitive imperium list.
The idea is for a flexible army that is able to be a threat in range and melee.
Firstly the kingsguard (Space wolves) are the heavy hitters. Arjac, wolf priest and melee terms ride in the raider to deal with any death stars, arjac giving the extra attack and re roll wound rolls, wolf priest giving them re rolls to hit and healing.
Gun terminators teleport in where needed and dakka. And the dread helps protect the tanks while adding to the dkok gun line.
For the Astra military I chose dkok because they are good in range and melee, can do better against alpha strikes better than most, can move up and hold objectives better than most IG due to pistol 2 lasguns and fearless in the shooting phase and look awesome doing it.
Dkok have cp farming with grand strategist and the Aquila.
Vennser gives LD 10 to friendlys including the wolves for more staying power. I use a cp to give the blade of conquest to the field officer for more melee threat. The infantry has a hot shot lasgun and chainsword on the sergeant and a grenade launcher so I can be mobile or hold the line while posing a threat to most and its cheap. The spear head will mostly lumber forward with the infantry shield or castle behind them depending on the enemy.

I welcome advice and have plenty of older models I can swap with.

So why grenade lancher instead of plasma? I'm guessing you're using Heavy Bolter teams because that's the models you have, but DKoK heavy weapons teams don't do great, besides the mortors.

For the command tank, you should run a Plasma/Plasma sponsons, the punisher dosent add much to your list.

As a fun/fluffy list this looks good. But competitive wise you're going to be hurting on Anti-armor.

Well met

Originally the hws was lascannons and all the Russ tanks were battle tanks but got told for competive it lacked anti horde do worked with that advice. I can try and make mortar teams but statistically heavy bolters have more damage output against meq (which is most common). I have green stuff so I can attempt to make anything. If I put the battle cannon back on or lascannin teams it may help? Grenades because I have the models and they are cheap and plasma Guns are hard to convert and for its cost its good range . I could also give them flamers and since they are my main counter to melee threats to my tanks or take and hold objectives is not a bad idea.
