So, I want to get into some 30k action in my area, and it is mostly casual with a big emphasis on narrative and waves of legion troops smashing into each other.

Which is ALL KINDS OF AWESOME AND WIN.

Anyway, here is a 3k list I thought looked tasty, any thoughts legion veterans?

The apothecaries will sit behind the tactical squad and both sets of breacher squads to help keep them alive.
The master of signals will sit behind the heavy support squad for 2+ to hit lascannons with tank hunters.
The contemptor dreads will support the troops, with the whirlwind applying power armour killing with the rapier squads applying lots of 2+ dakka.
Alexis Polux because of his buffs and IS AN AWESOME MODEL.
Deredeo incase of flyers and for the dakka.
Lastly, the terminators being led by the Centurion for a power blob.

I like everything in this list except for the Reaper Weapons Battery. Heavy Bolters just... suck. Even at +1 BS. These would be better with Frag Shells or Shatter Shells. That way, you have more anti-infnatry and amti-srmor. Win/win.

Side note about the Contemptors: I'm not sure how effective these guys will be. With no ranged firepower to speak of, they'll probably get ignored until they get into close combat, then they'll really be felt. But they really don't threaten anything until they get into close combat, and they are foot slogging, and... please! Play some games and tell us how it goes!

And hey Mr. Imperial Fist player- Thunder Hammers when you have access to the most excellent Solarite Power Gauntlet? Rule of Kewl here, especially when you all caps "ALL KINDS OF AWESOME AND WIN." No other Legion can field entire units with Solarite Power Gauntlets, and then say when you win close combat "You just got Solarite fisted!"

The reason I chose the heavy bolter rapiers is because we have a lot of mechanicum and solar Auxilia players, so being to quickly wipe them out is nice.

I decided on double fist contemptor dreads purely for the fact they can munch anything in close combat and its just cool to see a pair of them rampaging up the table smashing marines aside like twigs! Also, our group is partial (read as: must do every game!) to a bit of dreadnought on dreadnought fights!

I went with thunder hammers, but you are 100% correct: SOLARITE GAUNTLETS ARE TOO COOL AND MUST BE USED AT EVERY OPERTUNITY.
