Hi everyone,

I'm the creator of MiniHeadQuarters, a website to store, share and discover army lists for 40k. For now, we have almost 400 users and 200 lists. People can upload them in various formats (PDF, text, Battlescribe roster) and search for them based on several criterias (Tournament, views, faction, etc).

I've been in contact with several people about adding features for tournaments handling, and I managed to deliver a minimal set of features for that.

From our discussions, it appeared that one of the biggest pain as a tournament organizer is the registration management and list validation. That's the problem I wanted to tackle in this first version.

So as a Tournament Organizer (a role I'll manually give to people interested), you can :

  • Create as many tournaments as you want, with: a date, a description (markdown supported), a number of spots, the option to mask submitted lists until the end of the tournament (in order to avoid list building based on current submitted lists)

  • Management your tournament: edit all tournament information, change tournament status to allow registration or not, validate or reject lists in one click

  • Tournament creation example: https://gfycat.com/PhonySoupyIguanodon

    List validation example: https://gfycat.com/DisastrousExcellentHousefly

As a player who wants to join a tournament, you can:

  • Centralize all your lists in MiniHeadQuarters, as Battlescribe file, PDF file, or text list

  • Make your lists private (you'll be the only one able to see them + tournament administrator if you join one)

  • Submit your list in one click

  • Get notified when the tournament administrator accepts or rejects your list

  • List submission: https://gfycat.com/UnkemptHandmadeImpala

So that is the first set of features. Follwing major features will be:

  • Payment handling: you'll then be able to manage everything related to the player submission on the website. Define the bank account you want, the inscription fee, and we'll take care of the payment for you

  • Results management: be able to log all the results of every game, and handle the ranking of the tournament. All users will be able to review it when the tournament has ended

  • The website is completely free, for users and organizers.

When the payment features will be added, I'll need to take a commission on the subscription fees, in order to cover my own subscription to payment partner. But the website will remain free for players.

Sorry for the long post. If you're interested, please take a look at https://miniheadquarters.com, and PM-me (or email-me at miniheadquarters@gmail.com) in order to have your Tournament Organizer account created, or just to discuss about features

    Have a nice day!
