So the FAQ is up for necromunda:
https://necromunda.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2018/03/Necromunda_FAQ_v1_ENG.pdf
...but also there is an email to send your rules questions :
necromundafaq@gwplc.com
Great to here that it’s all on its way to getting sorted.
Good move having a dedicated email for faq but let’s hope it doesn’t get flooded and the abandon it lol.

Man that is a beefy-ass faq... 7 pages, and just covering GW1 and underhive?
Honestly I feel they should somehow make an annotated or updated pdf available at the least of the rules, that is a LOT of book-keeping to do...

There are a lot of repeats though.
Do we know if they covered everything?

Not remotely, but its a start.
Hoping that when they launch Gang War 3 (its inevitable), that they will simply roll the corrections needed into that. And we can carry just two books with us (Underhive and GW3) instead of a stack of books and loose FAQ papers.

It is a start, but a lot is not accounted for. They even manage to mention topics which are heavily confused without clearifying them! Like charge that is 0.5" short. Like Lasgun, comparing two values in rulebook and deciding which is correct, without even mentioning GW1 and GW2 conflicting profiles. Many more weapons with conflicting profiles, shock whip etc. A couple more tactics cards which are unclear. Several pre-made fighter cards with conflicting weapon profiles. Seriously unbalanced rules like Juve advancement. Stray shots seriously needs a fix. Grenade launcher and blast weapons needs a balance fix.

Lol, makes me think they need to completely relaunch the game already. No new player is gong to want to deal with figuring this stuff out, I know I don't.

What's wrong with the latter two?

Grenades are super powerful on the tiles. Often not very far is can scatter so you can get almost guarantied hits, and then the knockbacks bounce them off the walls for extra damage.

Stray shots? Let's say your closest target is behind heavy cover (-2). But a more distant target is easier to hit. If these two targets are on a line from you (or you're able to move into the line), you just target the distant enemy, hope to miss, and then have a fixed 4+ chance to hit the enemy in heavy cover instead. Grenade Launcher? This is perhaps the best weapon in the game. It includes frag and krak, costs 10 points less than buying frak and krak as grenades. This gives you a much better range and you can re-load instead of running out of ammmo. In addition to the very cheap cost, it also has the blast trait for Frag grenades which have a much higher chance of hitting than any other weapon due to how scatter works. And you never get any negative modifiers as you don't target models in cover. And did I mention blasts ignore target priority? Blast trait is a problem for any weapon, but due to normal grenades short range (Sx3), it is much less a problem than the sniper grenade launcher with 24" range. To summarize: Costs less than normal grenades Can reload instead of going empty like normal grenades Greatly extends range Ignores hidden enemies Ignores target priority Much higher chance to hit than normal weapons due to how scatter works After release, people were sharing lists which basically had the entire gang loaded with grenade launcheres just to prove the point.

You mean to say that grenades are very dangerous in cramped conditions?
Who'da thunk it?

Isn't that the point? Explosives tend to be very dangerous in enclosed spaces.

Yeah, it makes sense, but they're definitely too cheap. I keep saying also that the launcher is the best weapon in the game, along with the combat shotgun and its guaranteed D6 auto-hits under the flamer template.

These weapons are excellent on the tiles but do they not become a bit more lack lustre to say the least on 3d boards?

Grenade Launcher is one of the best weapons in 3d. Cheap, ignores target priority, ignores cover, can reload instead of going out of ammo, much more likely to hit than normal weapons.

I disagree that is much more likely to hit that a normal weapon - it has the same base chance to hit plus a small amount for if the scatter is minimal. But in the end I suppose it depends on how you have your terrain. Mostly I find on the tiles it scatters into a wall and still hits. In 3d I find it scatters off a walkway or the front of terrain or something else blocks the shot.
It’s certainly underpriced compared to grenades. But I think grenades are over priced and so are weapons like heavy stubber and Chem-thrower which further throws it out of whack.
Hopefully it’s something that will get patched in time from fan feed back. Particularly the part about target priority - it the template is highlighting/covering a model/s when placed then that’s the targets and if that’s not the priority target you should have to test. Personally if your playing with friends I think everyone should be about to sort bits like that out them selves for politness sake until they patch the cracks some more.
