Ouch... so.... many... 1's.

My question here, why did you deep strike so far back and focus on killing the small squads? You wasted a LOT of firepower it felt like that should have been focused on the killier stuff in back.

I will say dice got the best of you here, though, you failed a lot of tests you should have passed with ease. That assassin was really your bane here. What are your thoughts of just running one giant scarab squad and then using all those spare points for Tzangor's?

The Imperium player did an excellent job of denying Deep Striking after Seizing. He spread out his army in a way that allowed SOT to have very limited options for DS.

Not sure how to deal with the Assassin yet. Don't like flamers on SOT or RM that much (although they're apparently all the rage). 6s in Shooting/Melee make it very very annoying. And the -2 Psy debuff really impacts the Sons apparently. And yeah... dice gods actively against you don't help either...

Cheers,

Thoth

Much appreciated Skerr. Thanks for watching.

You may enjoy the next Battle Report then. Thousand Sons will try their luck against some Tzeentch Daemons. This time around the opponent will be fielding the Sons. Stay tuned!

I suppose so, I guess I felt that you would have sent a unit or two to the backfield to start whittling down the Horse-dudes. But yes, that Assassin really screwed the pooch for you, especially because your army is so driven by smite spam. Perhaps you need less Psychers? I'm definitely looking forward to your more demon-centric list, 30x Horror squads are awesome.

Looks like your opponent played it with two captains rocking the 3++... only one can have it (relic).

Bow down to Guilliman for he is our new God Emperor!

Martel - "Custodes are terrible in 8th. Good luck with them. They take all the problems of marines and multiply them."

"Lol, classic martel. 'I know it was strong enough to podium in the biggest tournament in the world but I refuse to acknowledge space marines are good because I can't win with them and it can't possibly be ME'."

DakkaDakka is really the place where you need anti-tank guns to kill basic dudes, because anything less isn't durable enough.

You can get two 3++ saves with a second relic called the Eagles Eye primark G.

Wouldn't get it though, i'd much rather have some of the other artifacts.
