Stealthy Dark Angels Scout with Shotgun




So, the idea is to use scouts for control,
the Devas and Pred stay in cover on the back, buffed by the lieutenant and shot enemy tanks/flyers (and can take care of infantry as well with missiles/heavy bolters)
while the Ravenwing runs to the enemy trying to get in melta range, backed up by the Darkshroud and the Talonmaster.
I added the Techmarine last cause I needed a cheap HQ and I thing it can be useful healing his fellow Ravenwing and shooting with the rest.

I'm playing against Guard (and expecting like 3-4 Leman Russes, a Valkyrie, mortars, and some psykers) and Eldars (Dark Reapers, Wave Serpent, Prisms, lots of psykers).

This is my first Ravenguard/Dark Angels list, what do you think?

some things I would consider:

Darkshroud: remove AC and stick with HB. you want to jink and keep it alive to protect. Don't worry about shooting.

Dev Squads: remove one ML and make it a HB: gives you options to use Hellfire shell Strat. Now you can get up to 2-6 Mortal wounds from this unit with 2 strats.

Talon Master should get the relic blade..too good to pass up

Predator: if you can get points go all LC.

Scouts: remove MLs for points elsewear. these guys should only be obj holders and deep strike protectors

Bikes: give one unit plasma

Thnk you very much for your valuable answer I will change my list accordingly.

I have 2 questions : for the blasma bikes, you mean replacing meltas with plasmas? What would be their targets in an eldar or guard army? Because I think plasmas are worse than meltas to deal with hard targets like Leman Russ or Falcons/Prisms aren't they?

And about the scouts, I was thinking by putting one efficient weapon (ML or HB) inside a cheap unit instead of putting it in the Deva unit it would force the enemy to split his fire between these two unit or face the consequences. And it would allow the scouts to be more useful what do you think?

Regarding the plasmas. I would suggest putting 3 plasmas on one Bike unit. 3 plasmas with WotDa at rapid fire range can strip lots of wounds off of a tank. Plasmas are also very efficient against multiwound units such as Orgrins ect. but the do decent damage against tanks. you can keep the second unit melta

Most guard will have a bubble wrap so its going to be tough getting to the tanks with Meltas. Same with Eldar. Plasma has a 24 inch range so even firing from a distance you can hurt things.

Scouts in this list should be "your" bubble wrap vs deep strikers and objective holders. I run them bare bones at 55pts each. I would suggest you do the same.. Sniper scouts are meh if only one squad even 3 is not real good. Take the camo cloaks off if you are running them because those are the models you have.

Having a Heavy weapon wont adjust Target priority for your opponent. I would think any decent player would target out your immediate threats and the Devs.. if they target your WS4 scouts because they perceive them a threat... you have won the game from the start.

Also you might want to consider swapping out the Tech marine (you only have 1 vehical) and putting in a Master with Jet pack. he allows rerolls of ones ( helps your plasma bike squad with WotDa) He can keep up with bikes and be a threat with the heavenfall blade or a hammer.
