OK I do bit want to offend here so please know that now.

There's a thread here about Angela Merkel possibly losing power soon. KT reminded me of a movie I saw that was made in Germany by Germans, who are really touchy about this sort of thing, called "Look who's back" which seemed to possibly imply that the situation in Germany is so bad that Hitler himself could come back abd rise to power again.

So, i'm bypassing the media, the talking heads, experts, etc and asking people here who are in Germany directly "For real? Is the situation in Germany so bad a Nazi like party could rise today? Honestly? "

I know how sensitive Germans today are to Nazi abd Hitler imagery, so if a movie made in Germany has Hitler returning and coming to power I can only imagine it wasn't made lightly.

On the other hand a possible interpretation of the movie was the people of Germany have become so obsessed with denying Hitler abd trying to forget the past that if the real Hitler returned today people would just literally deny he was what he was, and that you can't make the past unhappen by ignoring it and not facing it. I would prefer tp believe that interpretation of the movie's meaning, obviously.

So what do people in Germany or at least in neighboring countries say on this?

"I learned the hard way that if you take a stand on any issue, no matter how insignificant, people will line up around the block to kick your ass over it." Jesse "the mind" Ventura.
