Maybe give us a little bit on what your intents and thoughts are. Any aspects you think may be lacking, excessive etc.

Not sure what regiments you're choosing by I'd assume the battalions militarum tempestus and guess the spearheads cadian and vanguard tallarn. No reason to not take Pask if you've already got a cadian tank commander.

I could make specific comments but don't know what you're looking for really so will just comment overall. Youve invested heavily in the guard units that maximise damage output per model. The only issue here is that these units are of comparable durability to their cheaper counterparts. So you will find yourself suffering heavy losses. Vets die as easy as infantry and scions are pretty similar again.

Also try not to cut and paste from BSc. Just summarise, makes it a bit laborious to read otherwise and some just won't bother.

This is just a trashcan list. I was trying to get back into list building and it'd been a while since I thought in terms of boxed kits and point costs and whatnot.


The idea was to double deep strike scions on whatever happened to be camping on enemy objectives, along with the prime, then use first rank second rank for 72 S3 AP -2 dakka, which will put wounds on damn near everything, even a land raider. The veterans would hang back and camp, and the tank commanders would use grinding advance on any mobs or infantry trying to advance. The autocannons are for anti-air/ transports. Unfortunately the grenade launchers aren't really cost effective, it just seems like everybody was already running plasma and I wanted to do something different.

This list is probably too expensive/ unrealistic in terms of trade/ cost, though my 500 point list dakka scions would make a fun, fluffy unit.

Dakka scions sounds like scions with hot shot volley guns in taurox primes. Scions get a bit mixed up with rapid fire 9" and deep strike. It is a bit annoying with the special weapons. It's hard to justify taking something not plasma. Would be nice to have other options being useful. If you're looking for autocannons try a hydra. Same cost as 2 HWTs.

Some thoughts:

You could convert the spearhead into a brigade with just 1 more fast attack 6x cheap troops and 1 commander for that +8 CP.

You can't drop into rapid fire range for the normal scions, and you also drop outside of the most effective melta range as well. People usually get plasma guns.
