Some stuff has to start on the table and you'll want some weapons with decent ROF and range for it. Against a foot MEQ list it'd be decent of course but against vehicles or hordes will still struggle. H-S lasguns need to be so close. Could try

1 commander, command squads and big scion squad start on the board. Other commander and small scion squads DS in to hit vehicles, MEQs or campers.
