Hello.

Got back into 40k after ten+ years, slowly re-learning.

Got 1200p for you to comment.
I know I have almost no shooting and very little anti-tank.
The shooting I don't really mind, but the anti-tank could become a problem, I guess.
Have most models available, feel free to suggest.

I will play againt the friends next friday; one Space Wolf, one Necron, One Orks, one Khorne and one Dark eldar. Enemy determined randomly.
The Wolf player usually brings a Land raider with cc terminators, the Necrons a large squad of warriors, the walking crab thing and the cc guys with shields.

HQ
Warlord: flying hive tyrants with 2xscytals Adreanal glands, Chameleonic mutation, Onslaught, Paroxysm, Pincer tail and one step ahead warlord trait 195p
Old one eye 200p

Troop
16 Genestealers with scyting talons and four acid maws 192p
6 Genestealers with scyting talons and one acid maw 72p
16 Hormagaunts, no upgrades 80p

Fast
10 Gargoyles, no upgrades 60p

Heavy
2 Biovores, no upgrades 72p
2 Carnifexes, 2xscytals, Adrenal glands, Bone mace, Spore cyst, Tusks and one with toxin sacs 218p
Mawloc 105p

Plan is to put Old one eye with the fexes up front, the large Genestealer brood in cover and advance them (as supercharged as possible) behind the Hormagaunts. Keep the small Genestealer brood in reserve to grab objectives.
Have the Hive Tyrant deepstrike in cover with the Gargoyles end of turn one movement phase and the Mawloc simultaneously pop up on the other side (if possible behind) of the squad being threatened by the Hive tyrant.
The biovores hang back and shoot away while moving (to miss more often).

Best regards, Fredrik

What hive fleet are you using?

I’d suggest bringing a couple ripper units to drop in on objective.

Also you should bring catalyst, it’s our best psychic powers imo.

Must be taking kraken as the flyrant has chameleonic mutation. Also, I agree that rippers are the best to drop on objectives so you could replace the 6 man genestealer squad with 2 x 3 squads of rippers.

Yea, do this and you got yourself a decent army.

Most effective builds on flyrants are 2x2 devs or hybrids with 2 devs and 2 rending claws.

Yeah, in addition to swapping the 6 stealers for rippers I think you've got way too much scything talons on big bugs. I'd swap the HT to MRC + [VC / Devourers] (up to you, depending on what you do with your carnifexes).

I'd make one carnifex a double devourer and the other a devourer + crushing claws hybrid. with old one eye, the claws will still hit on 3s when charging (which you're doing every turn, with kraken for the battering ram)

The executions will continue until morale improves
