Story:
GW is not playing Orks at Adepticon because - and I quote - "It's genuinely is because the studio Ork army is not 4,000 points! No conspiracy theory here - that's the truth! We do love Orks too... trust us!" (this was a response to a fellow Ork player asking why we were excluded from voting which army Game Workshop would bring to Adepticon. Well then... I don't know about this brothers... but I feel a disturbance in the Warp... I see a green light far away on the other side of the galaxy... I hear the sounds of a WAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!



Plan:
It's obvious GW would never, under any circumstances, lie to their customers so.... I think it's time we send them reinforcements! Although we're unlikely going to gather enough of a Green Tide for Adepticon we must prepare GW for any future WAAAAGHS! Therefore, I suggest we send A Waaagh to GW!

Sending a Waaagh to GW will consist of every Ork player we can find sending at least 1 Ork Boy model to GW (DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO ANY INDIVIDUALS WHO WORK FOR GW! Be respectful).

Please do it 2nd Class (from UK or cheapest postage from where ever you are because we want this to be fun and not money consuming) on the 28th of March 2018 (or around this date depending on your availability... we gotta make it noticeable). On the package or letter you must scrawl (as noticeable and as Large as you can) WAAAAAAGH AID ENCLOSED!

Inside you may write what ever letter you like but I would suggest something related to them not having 4k points worth of Orks. I personally will be saying something like: Your team at Adepticon said that they couldn't bring Orks because the Studio didn't have 4k points of them, so I thought you might need some help. Here is something to get you started.

Please be aware! I very much doubt GW will take notice (this is more for our own enjoyment and sanity) so don't send you good models because you're unlikely to ever get them back! I would suggest sending 1 unpainted or painted Ork Boy.

What we Hope to accomplish:

Not much... we're Ork players so we're just as "imaginative" as the Orks are! It's really a bit of fun. However, if anything we hope to get some response out of GW, give some attention to Orks for once or at least demonstrate how much we all feel a little underrepresented by GW (despite being one of the original founding factions). In addition, perhaps it might even prove how dedicated the Ork player base still is to seeing the representation of Orks!

PLEASE NOTE! This is in no way intended to harass GW or be aggressive in anyway. It's simply a bit of fun from the Ork community to show how strong we can all be! I do not (and I hope the community agrees) condone any negativity put in those letters and packages! I do not want you in anyway to send anything negative at all or anything that might hurt a staff member at GW! I'm serious guys! If GW is going to take us seriously at least act like an adult!)

So spread the word to every Ork player you know! Even copy and paste this if you need too and post it on other forums! LET'S SEND THE WAAAAAAGH!

If you have any suggestions please post below! Again, we don't want to harm anyone at GW so please be respectful when sending your Boyz!

FAQ 1: Over the bast few days we have had a few concerns and questions regarding the movement. I have decided to write this to maybe help iron out some stuff. Think of this like a FAQ... apart from they'll probably come more often than GW does them! EYYYYYYY! (bad joke I know)

The purpose of this movement has being questioned a few times by a few people. They either (the following is not a complete lists of complaints and concerns) A. can't understand why we would send GW their own products. or B. believe this is a movement created by Ork players because we are angry at GW for not bringing out our codex or ignoring us. I don't want to cast any shame on these people as they are valid concerns and points.

Well in response I personally (I can't vouch for the others leading this campaign) have answers to both concerns.

This movement was not created or pushed because we are angry at GW as Ork players. Sure, Ork players are angry. However, if anything, anger and Adepticon just gave us the excuse to start this movement. The purpose (from my point of view) is to push a community Ork event that involves as many Ork players and none Ork players as possible! Through this event we hoped to bring people together in appreciation for Orks. In addition, we hope that you post screenshots of the model you are going to send as well as stories of why you love Orks (maybe even stories of your favourite Ork moments)! In fact I hope in the letter you send to GW you also add a note explaining why you love Orks and why Orks should be played more by the GW team. Let's turn those negative Ork emotions into good Ork emotions! An Ork doesn't sit around and cry! He gets up and solves his problem! Although probably through hitting it or colliding a moon into it. Hell, if you're not an Ork player I would love you to still get involved and tell us your favourite moments fighting Orks!

This leads me to another mission this team hopes to achieve! To involve every 40k player not just Orks! We hope that players will go out and buy the cheapest Ork models (or have one laying around) and learn to paint those Ork models up. Then you would send one of those models away while keeping the other 3 as a sort of trophy of your achievements as a painter. By doing this we hope the person might even learn to appreciate the art of painting Orks and perhaps (is they're feeling heretical enough) buy more Ork models in the future to paint for themselves and their shelves! This event might make a few Ork players out of you yet!

This leads me to my finale statement for now. What else can you do to make this movement successful? We have had a few suggestions to help Orks out and help make this campaign a positive movement. If you wish (you don't have to) feel free to enclose with your letter a few suggestions to the GW team regarding how Orks play in 40k. The Ork codex is likely a long ways a way so it's very much possible any suggestions or concerns you have might even be heard by the GW team. In that way we can turn this movement into not only a fun community event, but also a useful one! Again, this is option and wasn't the intended purpose but it's a good suggestion from a few Ork players nonetheless! Regardless, the easiest way to help with this is to just share pictures of your Orks and this movement here, on a forums or even on social media.

So keep up the Ork painting and make sure to post screenshots and stories! WAAAAAAAAGH!

HOWEVER, I also don't think GW should be playing a Sea of Green at Adepticon. They want to do well, which doesn't mean they can't play Orks, but it does mean that playing Orks correctly takes more time than other players, so it'll hurt their chances of getting full games in, which hurts both their chances of winning AND of selling their brand.

For this reason, I picked Chaos as the army they should bring.

It's not really about that. It's about sending a message that's it's funny they don't have 4K points worth of Orks. XD Also the Ork Boyz was because we don't want people to spend more than £5 on the models and postage. We would, in the future, like to see Orks at least be an Option for GW to pick when going to tournaments.

Who knows, maybe the models will be featured in a huge diorama in Warhammer World or something like that...

I like this idea because it's funny and not mean-spirited. I think things like this are much more likely to have an impact than just yelling at GW online.

I originally had an address but I took it down because I didn't want GW to feel like we were targeting a specific group at their HQ. I've now put it up as a potential address but feel free to send it to any other GW office if you're unable to send overseas. (not sure if they have offices in the USA or such... but probably best sending to the main HQ) (DO NOT SEND TO INDIVIDUALS!!!)

Though a painted Ork (three colour standard :-)) would be best - don't want them saying they don't have time to get the army painted.

For postage purposes, if the package is under 1" thick, it goes as 'Large Letter', about £0.78. So, send it unassembled for best results, and certainly not attached to the base.

I'll link this to as many Forums/Clubs as possible.

I'm going to try to hunt down some chaga to send in as well. Some fungus tea to go along with the violent space fungus seems fitting.

This sounds perfect;

I wouldn't restrict yourself to sending just a Boy model - it should be any unit type; that said, I would limit yourself to a single model sent.

It'd do well if they got a mix of units for their army, but, we also don't want to be sending them a full army at once (at least not from a single person).

I really hope this idea does well. I love the enthusiasm behind it.

I'm in, I have one or two spare models kicking about.

I have my Nob ready to send in the post as soon as that date hits! I'll be sending mine 1st class tracked to make sure they get it!

I have an old metal skorcher boy that could lend it's help to the WAAAAGH, see if I can find him when I get home.

If enough people do this, who knows? This may go down in history as "The Great Communal Waaagh!"

I applaud this plan. While this could be viewed as a cynical poke at them I think it is a phenomenal message to GW to show them that we have dedicated our money, time and our brains to the ork way of life and they should appreciate us and the best army they ever made.

I'm gonna send them an ork boy and a nob with PK plus a converted Orruk shaman (counts as weirdboy) as well so they can get their army up to speed with some da jumping.

That's as absurd as sending a couple bottles of Coca Cola to the Coca Cola office.

I think absurdity is the complete purpose of this process. It highlights the absurdity of the reason GW quoted. To continue your analogy it would be the same as the coca-cola office going to a marketing event but only taking Sprite with them because they didn't have enough of their other products.

Exsactly this! I've seen enough Orks by GW to know they're either lying or threw all their orks away. It's more about sending a message and having a bit of Orkish fun! Who else could do something so futile but expect a result? And might even get one! Orks Orks ORKS!

as for GW lacking a 4000 point army of Orks I can see it, Orks are, as I understand it, pretty cheap, (points wise) so it's possiable their studio army is just only 3000 points
