Inspired by Games Workshop's previewed concept sketches for Mercantile Guilds on Necromunda.

That is really cool. I love the concept sketch too, where is it from?

Sweden. I drew it two days' ago. Thanks!

That is a very good concept. Somewhere between a Blanchett and a Goodwin in style. I appreciate the symbolism on the robes and arm. Although it appears to be a caduceus on the arm? The rod of Aesclepius is the symbol associated with healing and medicine- just one snake.

Thank you! Two coiling snakes do however mimic a double helix, as some Officio Medicae symbols sported upon a quick double search (or perhaps they're mating?). O' course, it might just be a corruption of ancient knowledge and symbols somewhere sometime in the dark future; possibly brought about by one of the few bottleneck-event preservers of human culture during Old Night (or later Necromundan scholar; could be local variant) being drunk and thus seeing double when copying illustrations from fraying data depositories. Cheerios!

All fair points, especially when considering half the US already erroneously uses the caduceus for medical institutions... 39,000 more years of history is not oging to help matters!

So long as you are aware and making a conscious (and well reasoned!) decision in using it I am fine with it

Well aware, swims in ancient history so to speak. I was only loosely basing the marking upon the caduceus via the Officio Medicae at one remove. Of course, the arm's double snake symbol might well be a family emblem, or perhaps an insignia of office. The higher up your position, the more detailed twin snake coiling, including staff, and wings for the serpents and merchant charter scrollwork for fancier baroque heraldry. Many possible meanings, never decided on any single one. Open for interpretation to stimulate the imagination.

Some higher-up Elixir Guilder would obviously have to sport a snake staff close to Aesclepius' as a cane.

A cane sounds like a good idea. Are you working on more concept sketches to match the rough layout of the FW ones? It looks like the guilds will all have some kind of 'heavy' unit.

Didn't plan to do so originally since I've got projects queued up, but inspiration do needs to be followed when it occurs... Maybe, and there is some heavy suit ideas bubbling already. Will post any new Guilders here.
