Hi, I'm used to 40K but I have been invited to try some small AOS games. I'm thinking about what army to start and how to do it.

I want to ask if this solution could be any good in your opinion. I'm thinking about it just because I'm looking forward to paint gryph-stuff and trying to save money working around the start collecting box.

1 unit of 5 Vanguard-Hunters
1 unit of 10 Liberators
1 unit of 3 Gryph-hounds (because they are in the box...)

For the strategy I thought I'd switch the gryph-hounds to a unit of Prosecutors... but I still doesn't know how much i want to invest in AOS.

It hasn't to be competitive, just has not to be too much stupid...

1 Unit of 10 libbys is not good. Stormcast have low battleshock so you want to minimize how many extra casualties you take in that phase. 2 5 man groups with grandhammers on each prime is good.

You don't really have a punch unit. 5 Retruibutors is what may help. they can be cheap also as they are from start collectings, sold in a pack separate or sold from the 2 player set.

So you would discard Neave Blacktalon and hounds and put 5 retributors?

Retributors are the ones with two-handed hammers and maces, right? Make sure you make the maces. Those things are insane; no Hit/Wound rolls, just straight up Mortal Wounds.

If her cost plus the hounds lets you take 5 Retrubutors then yea. If you can also id give them 2 star soul maces on normal guys and the 3 hammers on the prime and 2 others. Both of them in CC is auto 2d3 mortal wounds, then the hammers can cause more
