Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the game and have only played Stormcast Eternals so far. I'm wanting to build a daemon heavy nurgle list so most of the models can be used in 40k as well. The plan is to build off the excellent Start Collecting box, here's a list i whipped up, what do you think?

Allegiance: Nurgle

Leaders
Poxbringer Herald of Nurgle (120)
Daemon Prince of Nurgle (160)

Battleline
30 x Plaguebearers (320)
5 x Putrid Blightkings (160)
- Nurgle Battleline

Units
3 x Plague Drones (200)

Total: 960 / 1000
Allies: 0 / 200
Wounds: 78

Thanks!

The list looks good! I think the demon prince will underwhelm you. Give him the endless gift artifact for more staying power. Consider subbing him for a lord of blights for a command ability until you work your way up to a great unclean one!!!

I think that's a well-balanced list that's good for starting off with. The daemon prince is generally more of a support character but at 1000 points he has a good bit more staying power since there's less things around that can readily kill him. Salamander has the right of it in that a Lord of Blights as the general would be the stronger choice but unless you are struggling against opponents' armies I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Regardless, take witherstave (and the favored poxes spell) on the poxbringer. No contest on that one.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
