What if.....
In 2019 Plastic Sisters come with only 5 models in a box.
And GW will be like - "Here are your plastic Sisters - Kill Team Sororitas warband to support your Kill Team teams......."

This is not a troll post. Just knowing how GW operates sometimes this one will not be much of a surprise.

Also, if you planned SoB army you will have to wait until 2019...
I don't know how people that already have SoB army feel about new plastic sisters.

Then I would be happy to have a better box of plastic sisters available than I do now, with plentiful oppertunities for conversion.

It is a troll GW doesn't do one offs like that. Unless you are trying to tell me it's a new necromunda gang.

I can do great things with snap fit models I can't do with monopose metal models, it'd still be an improvement.

I wouldn't feel cheated, more amazed that they'd managed to fill the next 14 months with regular spoilers and behind the scenes content for a five figure snap bit box. They'd have to spoil less than half a figure a month!

Plus I'd get a next codex out of Chapter approved _and_ a kill team.
This still sounds sweet to me.

You _sure_ you're not trolling?

Why? A squad of five Sisters is still usable.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Some people are just bitter about the treatment of sisters after so many years.
And some people are just bitter about everything GW does.

If they spend the rest of 2018 making sculpts for 5 push fit sisters then GW have far deeper issues than at any time in the past.

You say that now. But I'd imagine it will become a more in-depth roster with several new unit choices and sculpts that will make you want to start again

The way I see it GW needs to include new units with new rules in order to get people like you to buy in. They lose a lot of potential income if they don't make anything that can't be replicated with existing models.

Whats wrong with snap fits?

also i highly doubt it considering they already did 3 new plastic sisters models.

if anything my money is on 10 mono pose models like all the new cad work they have been doing. 3 sprues 2 duplicates 1 unique with a sarge. modular arms going by how they are doing necromunda.

My guess is it'll be something like grey knights during 5th in that it'll be a duo or triple kit to cover as many of the bases as possiable.

you could proably make a single box for Battle sisters, Dominion Squads, Retributors squads and celstrians, (my guess is more likely we'd see retributors as their own box) Serephiums I expect will be paired with a new unit type, and you'll proably end up having eaither a unit thats melee focused ala assault marines, or a shooty "mini interceptor" squad.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Why is GW doing this if sisters players don't buy the models? You guys will shoot yourselves in the foot. Though I doubt many can resist "ooh shiny".

presumably a lot of players want to start sisters armies. I know I'm one. Also GW'll hedge their bets with new war gear options and new units.

Why? They will almost certainly get a DG type splash release with half a dozen new kits.

The way that everyone on the internet carries on about plastic Sisters, you'd think they will sell out in 2 minutes.

What if GW takes trolling to a whole new level and releases a Codex that totally invalidates all existing SoB models to force you to buy all new units?

I can see it now, the Holy Trinity of Bolter, Melta, flamer becomes Lasgun, Plasma, Grenade launcher, SoB units no longer wear power armor, the Immolator gets replaced with a variation of the Genestealer cult truck thing, and Seraphim switch to the sci fi teleporting backpacks Grey Knight Interceptors wear.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d rage quit in a heartbeat, but that’d make the 4chan guys finding Shia’s HWNDU flag and replacing it with a MAGA hat look downright pedestrian.

Shrug. I'd buy it, paint it, and be happy.

I like Sisters, but I don't actually play, so I just want some cool models. A functional army isn't a necessity for me, at this point I only buy and paint models that fit into the ones I started when I actually played. I understand actual Sisters players would be pretty unhappy, though.

Not going to lie. I'd love to add some Sisters of Battle to my ranks. I've already got a decently large Imperial Guard force (Vostroyan Firstborn) and my Blood Angels still on-going and being worked on. A new plastic Cannoness along with a plastic Battle Sister squad and some plastic Seraphim would be a joy to paint up, especially alongside my Ordo Hereticus (Though I use him as an Ordo Xenos or Ordo Hereticus depending on my mood) themed Inquisitor I've had painted up for years now.

Old paint job, but still looks pretty good all these years later. Him leading a small contingent of Sisters (With a Culexis Assassin tucked away in the shadows with them) along side my Firstborn troopers would be an awesome and fluffy force on the tabletop.

Take it easy.

Honestly? I can't see it happening. There's no reason it won't, and GW are going to have to do *something* to make people buy the new kits, but religious pyromania and Sororitas pattern power armour are iconic aspects of the Sisters' design, and part of what makes the faction attractive. The vehicles too are pretty unique. I can't see them ditching all of this stuff whole cloth.

I'd be more annoyed if they redesigned the faction's playstyle into something less shooty and mobile.

Wouldn't bother me. I have enough bitz to squeeze a fully functioning squad out of a 5-model kit.

Well. We will be getting sneak peeks including beta rules so we'll know if that's the direction they take well before release.

They could offer new weapon options that are available to the Imperium but haven't been accessible to Sisters. Plasma, Grav weaponry, and so on.

They are not going to just release one box of sisters

However, they might very well release "primaris"/nuscale sisters of battle who make your existing metal girls look like midgets, while losing or changing all their weapon options.

That's definitely a possibility. In fact I would say it's probable that the new ones will not be the same scale as the old sculpts.

So.. prepare your arses for that. You have a year to come to terms with it!

But that doesn't make sense though. Primaris/Space marines in general are Meant to be bigger than normal models. That's why it's 'Truescale'. Because some people, [Not me] felt it was silly having Imperial Guard sized space marines.
But Sisters of battle are meant to be Imperial Guard Sized. Make them bigger, then they'd be Primaris sized, which means Primaris would look silly and small...

Actually I don't think we'll need a massive release of sisters. Just a 5-10 man squad that can be used as battle sisters, dominions, retributors and even characters, a 5-10 man close combat unit, seraphims and 1 maybe 2 tanks. Eventually their dread. No more than 5 kits to cover the entire army.

I only hope that I'll never see primaris SoB

It will be a box of 5 multi purpose Sisters.

But the box will only contain 1 of the best weapons, and you will want to equip the entire squad with it.
