While this wouldn't really follow the precedents set by other mono-chapter books, I'd kind of like to see...
* Sagas as pre-game stratagems that reward mid-game performance. So Saga of the Warrior Born might be a stratagem that costs 1CP when you deploy a character. Keep track of that character's kills over the course of a game. When the character has slain 10 wounds worth of models, the SW player gains 1d3+1 CP.
I think this sort of recaptures some of the intent behind sagas back in the 5th edition 'dex. Back then, they were bonuses for no mechanical drawback, but you were supposed to feel lame if you didn't meet a certain goal. Here, sagas become investments that encourage heroic (though not always tactical) behavior and reward you for pulling off stunts worthy of a skjald's telling.
* Gain <Great Company> keywords that unlock specific stratagems. <Sven Bloodhowl> Detachments might gain a stratagem that grants a unit 4+ FNP against flamer attacks, for instance, or <Ragnar Blackmane> might be able to spend 3CP to grant +1 Attack to any units that charge that turn.
Just spitballing.
