Just found out that I can upgrade my Land Raider into a Lord of War Terminus Ultra for just £10 https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Terminus-Ultra-upgrade-pack-2017

My question is are they any good - 450 odd points for 2 lascannons + 3 twin lascannons but 3x1s cause 6 mortal wounds and no transport...

It's meh. At the end of the day it's still just a land raider, better off getting 2 laz preds, more survivability

It's not. You're putting all your eggs in one basket; and IIRC it's not Titanic so it can't fall back and shoot. Too many point for too much of your army's AT power in a single model.

It was kind of okay at 400 points but they nerfed it to 450 in chapter approved and at the same time reduced the cost of the fire raptor.....

Honestly your better taking 3 dakka preds with auto Cannon and bolters and using killshot stratagem, same point cost but more effective

I wouldn't have called it any good then. It's a 400 point shooting model, which is already a point against it, and it doesn't have the ability to fire while in close quarters or fall back and shoot.

If you realy want something like a landradier with 8 lascannons forgeworld sell something called a spartan assualt tank for spacemarines. IMHO it lools better and bonus comes with rules that are actually playable.

grab 2 and have Gullyman sit next to them for all his bonuses. They will generally take out anything you point them at.

Yea at 400 pts they were pretty damn killy.. 50 point bump was harsh but its so much fun to put down a couple of landraiders bristling with guns ! and so screams Ultramarines

I ran 2 at Nova and did pretty good

It was just okay. Marines are fairly good at making 1 target really hard to kill with tiggy and might of heros. t9 and -1 to hit. Then you have Gurly stand next to it and anything that tries to assault the tank gets vaped by the emperors sword.

Like I said - it's okay - not great. Never needed a 50 point bump.

given the OP made mention of spending a tenner, not sure the Terminus Ultra being a bit pants is necessarily gonna see him chuck down a few hundred for a slightly better FW kit.
