So I'm playing against neurons for the first time this weekend and I have no idea what to take!!! It's a 1500 point game.

No matter what you play, be sure to kill entire squads. Necrons have a habit of sticking around if you can't kill off a whole squad.

If its the new Necrons its hard to say what he will take. Destroyers, tomb blades, Doomsday Arks, Tesseract Vaults look to be good. If possible try to keep him out of rapid fire range (especially if he goes Mephrit).

The most important thing is to focus fire entire squads down. RP will give the necrons a late game surge. Think of it like a reverse bell curve. Most armies start out with a heavy alpha and slowly become weaker over time. if you don't wipe a unit of necrons that will get a "2nd alpha" late game with the RP.

Force morale, any models that flee from failed morale cannot be Reanimated.

Play the objectives.

Destroyers are nasty, especially with the new points reduction and reroll to hit and wounds rolls.

Dont list tailer.

Bring the army you enjoy playing and see how it goes.
