Hey guys. So I'm recently getting back into 40k, but this is a secondary hobby to my cosplay and my responsibilities with work and school. I've had a few of these blogs in the past that are just SUPER old. I think the last one was updated.... 2013-ish? But the reason I'm here is when I had those blogs going, I was most active in my painting.

Same goes for my Cosplay, I've got blogs and stuff for that and I make sure I post to it with my updates several times a week mostly to help me remember to make time to do something fun every day for 30 minutes. And it helps a lot with stress as long as I remember to do it.

So the plan is every Weekend( either on Saturday or Sunday) and Every Wednesday I'll post what I've been working on for wargaming.

This weekend, I was playing with my 3D Printer and printed off this neat Daemon guy. I'm going to use him for my Chaos Boon Daemon Prince. I mostly wanted something different enough to separate him from a Normal GW Prince that I would run. He is about the same size as a GW prince and he even came with a neat custom 60mm Base.

Anyways, I'll see you guys Wednesday with some more stuff.

From what I can see your daemon prince looks real good!

I like your idea for running a blog to remind yourself to have fun, I have been trying to do the same myself with my write ups of a campaign and it has really helped me to gain some motivation to paint.

Look forward to seeing what you do next. Also join in the DCM paint pledge thread...

Thanks! the PLA I'm using is OK, but I think I'll want to reprint him later on with ABS.

Also, I got new stuff done today! I know I'm pulling a GW by being late the first deadline that I set, but I got a new sewing machine yesterday which threw off my whole evening while I set it up.

But today I put together 8 Cultist and 1 Renegade Commander kitbashs.

Here's Commander Algernon

Here's Sergent Chestday and the East Sector Boys.

And here's the gang all together.

Is that a beastman with a heavy stubber? nice.

So are these Renegades and Heretics as an auxiliary for your Iron Warriors?

Yeah, I'm mixing Beastmen, Both boxes of Genestealer hybrids, and Chaos Marauders to make my cultists.

The Cultists will eventually just be CSM Cultists, but the Commander is just a Cheap Chaos HQ so I can bring a Spearhead of Basilisks.

That's sounds like you could come up with some real crazy combos, look forward to seeing how things progress. Are you going to have a go painting up your prince before deciding on a reprint?

Most likely, but it depends on how he looks after I sand him

Here is my Renegade Commander, Algernon Moncrieff, my Malefic Lords, Abner and Satoris Snopes, and my blob of cultists.

On the Renegade Commander's Banner, I didn't know what to do, so I clipped an arm off of a sprue and dipped it in red paint so I could write the Iron Warrior's Legion Number on the banner in "Blood".

I also painted the commander in Iron Warriors colors instead of red and brown to show that he's special enough that doesn't have to play "Find the Landmine" or "Waste the Enemy's Ammo" or so he thinks.

These are the first models I've ever based too. I thought the green would be a neat contrast. What do you guys think?

This weekend was more cosplay focused as I try to finish a costume for a Charity Event in two weeks, but I did put a Defiler together and Print up some cool Objective Markers. I'm gonna try painting them during my lunch breaks this week.

I ended up picking up a 3d Printer with my tax refund to help make Cosplay parts but figured while I had it, might as well print some cool wargaming stuff. It's nowhere near cost effective to print like an army or even a squad, but if you wanna dress up your guys with some custom wargear or maybe a unique centerpiece model like my Daemon Prince that I need to work on, it's pretty awesome.

When I start working on actual Chaos Marines and not buckets of unwashed cultists, I might print up some custom bits to jazz them up a bit.

Speaking of: I finished the objective markers and put together 43 more cultists. I was gonna finish the Defiler, but my 500 point list I was working up to changed with the FAQ so now my 500 point list is just gonna be Renegades and Heretics.

This week I finished a Leman Russ Exterminator and I made two Sniper Rifles for my Renegade Maurader team.

I promise this is an Iron Warriors blog, There's just a lot of Renegades and Heretics right now.

This weekend I got a lot of hobby stuff done, since the semester ended and I finished my Spring Cosplay last week, so I have a month off until I start my next one. So this weekend I put the rest of my Cultists together, I finished my Marauder Stalker team and I put together my Warsmith.

The Cultists are, as always, a Mix of the Cadians, Catachans, and Genestealer Neophytes with a bit of Khorne Bloodborne mixed in for flavor.

One cultist I messed up on because I thought I was glueing an arm that had a trigger in the hand that just needed the Rifle to be trimmed to him. But I actually glued the gun to a grenade.... Too many cultists at once and the brain goes numb.

Here's my finished Sniper team. I made cloaks out of medical gauze coated in Elmer's Glue. The Sniper Rifles are Mixed from a Heavy Bolter, a Tau Burst Cannon, and a pair of binoculars from the Heavy Weapons Sprue. The Stalkers themselves I snipped the legs from the Neophytes and glued them onto the hips of Tau Fire Warriors. I used pathfinder helmets for the Snipers, Catachan heads for the two normal guys, and a Khorn Bloodborne head for my squad leader.

And here's my Warsmith.

I used the Sons of Horus Command set for the base, I scrapped the Sons of Horus logos from him and glued an Iron Warriors shoulder on the other arm. I used a backpack from the Chaos Space Marine box and I cut a Bolt Pistol in half and glued to the top of a bolter to make his combi-bolter.

What do you guys think?

The Warsmith is looking quite lovely.

And gluing a gun to a grenade is a perfectly logical thing to do, if the enemy gets too close they can take a grenade to the face.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

It's just too pretty of a model, the Sons of Horus Command stuff. it has spikes in all the right places and it looks old and ornate enough to fit in any Chaos Army, especially if your best friend and main opponent plays Primaris Marines. The Horus Heresy stuff contrasts SO freaking well against the new Primaris armor and it makes the battlefields look amazing.

I'm planning on mixing all of my Chaos Marines at about a 50/50 ratio with bits of MK III power armor to really drive home the Veterans of the Long War feel, Kinda like what I've done with my cultists to make them look more subtly chaos, like a renegade PDF instead of the bunch of Reaper Cosplayers that GW sells as cultists.

This weekend I spent some time at a friend's house prepping our models for a 1250 point tournament.

This is everything I got done:

Defiler got a basecoat of Silver

Finished putting together the Colossus
Put together a Medusa

Stalker Mauraders got a basecoat of Brown

Put some Paint on my Warsmith(Chaos Lord. He's on the right)
Put together and put some paint on my Warpsmith kitbash(He's on the Left). The Warpsmith is a Mix of the Power Scourge from the Defiler Kit, the Chaos Marine box, and the Mark 3 Techmarine from Forgeworld.

I still need to put together, paint, and base 1 Deredeo, paint and base 30 cultists and the Russ, and finish painting and basing all the stuff I've shown today.

Yesterday I went to a 1250 point tournament and took 4th!

I've been wanting to post updates this week, but I had to get all of my models painted and based to play in the tournament.

Here are a few pictures of my army after the event was over. I'll take better pics of the models later on this week.

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update:

I was a cosplay guest at a local con! So that took up my last two weeks prepping for that and recovery. I'm always beat after a con, so this week You'll probably not see any posts.

But over the weekend, my best friend and I were invited to join a Blood Bowl league, so I've placed an order for Dwarves and I'll start working on them and the rest of my first 2K of Iron Warriors next week.

Thanks man!

I’m gonna rock out a couple more dreads and then probably get a baneblade or something.

I’ve always mained dwarves in the B.B. video game, but I’m torn in if I wanna start with a Trollslayer or a Deathroller in this league.

So tonight I put together this guy in a couple hours. Probably would have been faster but FW doesn’t include instructions with the Contemptor Dread.

My immediate goal this month is just put glue to plastic so I can put them on the table. Get my B.B. team and my first 2k Iron Warriors list put together and worry about paint in July

I’ve been super focused on cosplay the past few weeks, but I have a tournament this weekend and I need all my toys painted to enter.

Today I put the base colors on 20 cultists.

Tomorrow I’ll finish the Chosen, Contemptor, And Leviathan. Wednesday will be the Blood Bowl Team and Thursday I’ll base and wash the whole shabang.

Then it’ll probably be radio silence again for a couple weeks while I finish printing my Dr Doom Armor.

In August we will start by printing a Warhound Titan.

Ive been thinning my paint differently with these past 3 posts, using more water. I also primed them Silver instead of just painting them silver to start.

After I wash the Dwarves, and all the new Chaos I’ve painted I’ll see how I like it.

Here’s today’s work. Chosen, Leviathan, and Contemptor.

So I got the torso printed and I'm currently Printing the Vulcan Mega Bolter and the Turbo Lazer Destructor.

Tomorrow I'll get the legs printed out and finish my last non-titan projects before working on him all next week.

I have 3 Renegade Enforcers left and I rebuilt my Leman Russ for the Standard loadout. I'll paint those tomorrow and post them hopefully.
