Hey everyone, just wanted to share my Thousand Sons Helbrute with you guys, see what you think. Its made from the old Dark Vengeance model (I started it before the more versatile stand alone kit was released). If you want to see more pictures or know more about the build please check out our blog, we'd love to hear what you think!

I spent quite a long time working on this one, I'm really pleased with it. I was thinking of writing an article for my Thousand Sons Baneblade next but I think I might have a break from chaos for a while and post some other things... even though it is currently "finished" I have decided to tzeentch my Baneblade up a bit more first.

Greetings Azwaz, Cool Gene Simmons Helbrute! I like that the tongue even has an eye ball on it!

Great conversion work! The paint scheme looks nice, Your model reminds Me of the giant warp beast for Tzeentch from Fantasy War Hammer.

The twin lascannon and heavy flamer look cool!

Thanks guys, it was a lot of fun to make, and I really did enjoy making that tongue the centre piece. I built the model without the face because I had already decided I wanted to do something weird with the hole. maybe a tentacle or several... wet things are more gross... and it even has teeth, so tongue seemed like a good fit, make it a mouth instead of a collar. Then I put an eye in it because... no one likes weird stuff coming through skin... on a tongue it would be even worse, and an eye is a wet thing looking around inside another wet wavey thing... it just seemed perfectly weird. My friend has an AMAZING nurgle army that I hope he will start posting after his Space Wolf phase. His things are also gross because they need to be, you know all rotting and stuff... but I dont want rot, just change... so Its fun trying to make things gross in a different way... less natural revulsion to rot, and disease, and more that Arkham Horror, unnatural weird, uneasy grossness.

The science of gross! maybe I thought about it too much. I have some fun Possessed marines in the works which arn't necessarily as gross but are more elaborately weird than the standard kit.

I appreciate the vote of confidence guys, its a real motivator to try and do some more cool stuff.
