It's time to check out Arena Rex - a kitchen-table sized skirmish game of gladiatorial combat in an alternate-history Post-Caesar Roman Empire.

Hurray! Been a fan of this game for a little over a year now. It's a great little quick warmup game with some great opportunities to interact with terrain.

Thanks for this - you do a great job explaining the rules for games you play in such a succinct, easy-to-parse way (and how you keep so many rulesets straight is beyond me). And there are too few of these battle-reports for this game, so seeing you add one will help get more people on board.

Couple things I noticed (and in full disclosure, I had to stop with about 4-5 minutes remaining so I may have missed a clarification or something)...

1. You said a couple times that you can "go back and forth" along the damage tree. I'm pretty sure the rules state that you only move downward - it didn't seem like you guys were applying damage in that way, but thought I'd point it out just in case. That could be pretty game-breaking if you could just bounce back and forth between two favorable boxes IMO.

2. Were you guys recycling your same three starting favor dice the whole time? If so, I'm pretty sure the intent is that the Favor is spent and is gone from the dice pool until you earn back more. Managing that resource in a way that wins matches is definitely a big part of the game.

1. Some trees can dogleg downwards into two paths. Depends on the character, that's all I was referring to.

2. Nope! We were earning it back from damage taken (as you earn favour when your models get injured!).

Glad you enjoyed it! Lots to come!

Cheers then! (Should've just assumed I was the one missing something ).

Definitely looking forward to more Arena Rex Let's Play! videos - this has easily my favorite game since the Kickstarter, and I'm hoping like crazy for their continued success.

Love the videos you do and glad you are highlighting Arena Rex!!

A couple of things that appear to be a bit off but not sure if you caught or corrected it at the end of the video.

- When a attacking an exhausted model the attacker gets one success and a push result. Not a free push result.

- Micon's Reversal trait allows you to resolve the results of an attack in reverse order not invert the tree. So for example if Micon gets three successes he either gets three pushes or three pushes; Not 4 damage/Atlas Throw, Fatigue, push.
This ability confuses everyone the first few games.

-Also the first model to attack an enemy model earns a favor not first model to defeat/remove a model.

Otherwise everything looked good. Looking forward to the next video and hoping to see some Living Hazards!
