The new sea elves look awesome and the 6-legged turtle looks like something from the Seraphon army, which I have lots of ready to be built. Got me interested in the game again.

That said, it’s been since End Times since I’ve paid attention to Fantasy/AOS. I read that Seraphon and just the elements of Slaan imagination/will which is a disappointment since I remember Saurus warriors living forever unless killed in battle. I have a good deal of unpainted/unbuilt Seraphons in my closet, and before I invest in the sea elves, I’d like to understand whether the Seraphon are still an important faction to Fantasy/AOS, e.g., in the books, campaigns, etc. If so, I’ll restart building/painting. If not, maybe they’ll go on eBay and I’ll get me some sea elves.

They are still essentially Order daemons, now, but as I understand it once they are summoned into being by a Slann, they can stay corporeal, and as such can occasionally be seen roaming the cities or the Realms, rather than just being in battles.

So as far as I can tell, you could theoretically have Seraphon kingdoms that that would be like the ones in the Old World.

They are very much still in the setting but their fluff has changed the most of any faction as they are pretty much order demons. The pestilens aos novel by Josh Reynolds centers around a Stormcast seraphon alliance fighting the Skaven. It is surprisingly good. They even featured (albeit briefly) in the Malign Portents online campaign.
It is also worth pointing out that Seraphon are pretty good competitively these days.

Good to hear. Really love dinosaur men. The teaser last week looked like... hold breath.. it could be a new salamander model. With all the new armies, it's highly unlikely though.

The base Saurus warriors could go for an update. It's been 16 or 17 years I think... The new temple guard are much better, beefier.
