Hi Dakka now then looking for any good info on said 2nd founding chapter "REVILERS" a stealthy chapter of Raven Guard vets from the IsterV massacre....do you play them have you ever seen a army of them on the battlefield. Has anyone written any fan fict' for them ?!? Would love input from anyone and every one. As im thinking of doing a jumppack heavy list with scouts and dev's as back up . maybe dred heavy to keep alive some of the vets from the massacre that still fight the shadow war with chaos!

I would assume that means the Fourth Company, but I could be very wrong.

Death Guard - "The Rotmongers"
Chaos Space Marines - "The Sin-Eaters"
Dark Angels - "Nemeses Errant"
Deathwatch

That's probably the denomination for being in the fourth Tactical Squad of his company, or in the fourth company.

The IVth Legion was the Iron Warriors, and their sigil doesn't show up - and as said above, the Revilers were Raven Guard descendant, and especially from Istvaan V, they'd hate the actual IVth Legion.

They/them

That's why I was asking. My tyrant siege terminators have the IV on that knee and I assumed it denoted legion.

Within the context of the Horus Heresy, sure. Outside of that, though, it's just the latin numerals for the number 4. Imperial units of all kinds have used latin numerals to denote squad, company or anything else.

Nice idea!

I like the armor colors and heraldry as well,
should be easier to get painted
(I tend to put too much detail on my figs)

I will have pics soon of my first jump troops from a Vanguard strike force attached to a demi-company of tactical - scouts and devastaters.in droppods .Going defo for a dred heavy company set up i want them as a true old old link to the massacre. But in the spirit of strike from the shadows to make the dreds las-cannon +missile set ups to be snipers sitting back out of the way till the trap is set.

Cool idea mate. Personally not a fan of the painting technique used. I would also run Contemptor Dreads to stick with the theme of the army.

Yes great idea about older patterns of dred's to make the link to the massacre. Little bit more work with the Strike leader . dont worry it will be finished soon !
