You were right (in the techmarine thread) - I do like this dreadnought!
I particularly like the crossed swords motif on the back.

Thanks guys, the swords on the back come from the grey knight terminator kit. For making paladins i think. It helps to break up the blank area on his back.

I think i used the book for reference on the claw. As a focal point i wanted to do a decent job.

Solid model.

Feedback:
- Highlights on the silver are a bit thick and imprecise, see the shoulder facing us
- The metallics lack a bit of depth as do the purity seals. Push the shadow and highlight contrast a bit further.

No problem, yeah I got the body and arms from forgeworld. in an effort to save a bit of money instead of getting a whole dread kit i bought a dread of ebay from the assault on black reach box set... which wasnt as easy as I thought because the body and legs come in two pieces... front and back! so the legs are molded as part of the body.

Im happy with how it turned out though.

you should check out my post on the blog if your interested, I go through what i did with it and the process of choosing the parts, on www.krakendoomcool.wordpress.com

thanks for the confidence boost Darkstar : )

Cool. I like his claw. And the middle part of his body with the gold borders.

A lot of love for that claw! it is a cool arm and I'm pretty sure I tried to copy it from the book or something. I'm really glad I went for that body type, someone recently asked me where I got it and I told them it was one of two body types that forge world sell. not anymore! looks like this one went out of production, I guess the mould broke and it wasn't worth replacing.
