I was reading a little bit about the Exodites, and wow, dinosaur riding Eldar never tainted by the Fall? That seems like a ripe subfaction opportunity. Anyone think they might get models and rules maybe around when Slaanesh gets back?

Many just use the CWE rules and convert from Lizardmen. Will they get actually rules? They might, have you seen the new AoS army Deepkin? Its basically Exodites lol. Like really, it is literally Dark Eldar on giant fish, its DE Exodites I wouldnt be surprised if someone makes them a 40k CWE army

My wife and I already were planning that.

Between them and daughters of Kaine, you have a decent selection of anything without a gun and a little converting goes a long way.

My biel-tan army has been exodite recruiting after the fracture and defection.

Exodites are a faction I'd love to see in 40k. Heck, if we have Knights, Genestealer Cults, and Deathwatch, why not?

Kroot Mercenaries need a list too.

I would love dino riding exodites. Pteranodon jetbike equiv would be badass

If you would have asked this a few years ago I would have said no.

Looking at the crazy direction AoS is going - looking at you Idoneth Deepkin - I would say GW would be more than happy to sell you a dino riding farseer. They seem to have a bit of a saurian fetish going on at the moment.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

Considering how GW seems to love mining old stuff for new releases, I see this as a very real possibility. We know they can do lizards/dinos, we know they can do elves. Seems a no-brianer to put the two together and dig deep into the nostalgia.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed! Given how many Aeldari players there I think it would make sense and money to make Exodites a thing.

At this point more likely than resculpts of Aspect Warriors as it would be something they could sell to every Aeldari player regardless of their current collection. NuGW likes to move on rather than rehash.

Can the Space Elves fan base support a sixth Eldar faction? There's barely any Corsairs players as-is, and not many more Harlequins players.

That's not really fair though, the Corsairs faction was utterly annihilated by FW in the index*. It's hard to play an army that only has (really poor) rules for 2 troops and a bike unit. I for one would definitely at least ally in some space elven dino riders with my space elven ninja pirates!

* I really hope this is only temporary, but who knows how long this will last?

Yeah, Corsairs aren't a particularly large faction. But it's not like an Exodites release would have more than 4-5 kits and maybe a few characters, judging by the new Custodes range.

I love Corsairs but they are a FW army, and at least have some units, hopefully will again soon, but just bc there is need for 1 army doesnt mean the need for another is wrong, we can have both.

Harlequins have been redone in plastic not long ago. The sales pretty much suck for them I'm sure. Very few Harlies players.
Ynnari is very recent too and they probably will get something soon.

I think the Eldar range is pretty saturated. Don't think GW will risk another Aeldari faction any time soon. Not enough Eldar lovers out there.

At my shop, we're now two players to often field mono-harlequin lists, and many more have a few models for their Ynnari/Aeldari armies.
And the models are extremely popular with painters. Here, they're quite common in painting competitions/as display pieces, a lot more than as models on the tabletop.

On topic: Exodites became a bit less likely with the release of Ynnari, especially since the Ynnari are really pushed forward in the fluff. If we get a major Aeldari release, I reckon it will be Ynnari.

^^This sadly.
GW has had plenty of opportunities to release Exdoites. First they release 3 new characters and new rules to add to the existing Aeldari range, thereby creating a new faction never before mentioned, and now GW has released 2 entirely new model ranges of Elves that easily could have been Exodites instead.

It seems clear that GW is more interesting in created brand new factions that have never existed before, rather than reaping the obvious profits from releasing an already established faction that already has a place in the fluff

They did have rules.

Back in 2nd ed, in the 2nd ed codex: Eldar.

When they didn't have models (but then, the vyper, falcon and fire prism didn't have models then, either - they came out AFTER the codex did. WD issues included new cards for the falcon and vyper (with pics of the models) and the fire prism was a new thing for 2nd ed with its cards only in the wd that month).

Exodite dragon riders. Haven't been seen in over 20 years as a codex entry.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

A full Exodites army has been my biggest wish from GW ever since I saw the Mike Mcvey conversion in white dwarf 200. Unfortunately I don't see it happening any time soon.

Personally I think we'll see an Exodite army within the next two to three years.

I have no inside information or anything, but given the new GW and their apparent notion that "new exciting product is good for business" combined with the notion that "old ideas that people really want is also good for business" I think it's fairly high probability.

Everybody loves dino's, Jurassic Park still receives sequels, ... GW should jump on this wagon and produce Exodites for sure!!! I'd buy.
