Saw this on youtube and hadn't seen it posted so thought i'd add it here.

It turns out looking pretty good in the end. And the video also suggests that the mecha paints are suitable for the sort of handling wargaming models would recieve.

Pretty sure that's not how you use their chipping medium.

It does say on the bottle that you apply it on top of the paint you want to show through and where you want chips to appear, then paint over it with the whatever water based acrylics you want and go over it with a damp tissue / toothbrush to reveal the chips.

Nothing to see here, only stupidity.

Well the video does say its painted with shades of red so i don't see why not! Maybe applying less of the final highlight colour would make it less 'orangey'?

Noodles - it is a Vallejo video so i assume they know how to apply the chipping fluid. And how else would you apply chipping medium? They apply it after the primer layer and then add the water after they have sprayed their red base colours and highlights (although there didn't seem to be much of the primer showing through).

Derp, I am such an idiot. I only saw the bit at 1.08 and ... yea...

That's also a really nice orange.

Nice find. I need to get a set of those colors for myself.

Interesting, I have used the sponge technique before but never thought of holding it with tweezers for more precise application.
