Yo everyone wassup! The other Character for my slow grow league army of Rogue Trader era Space Sharks is finished. Ill tell you what isnt rogue trader era, is the f((kn price of this model. JFC. 35 bucks for one guy. Well i felt something that pricey deserves all the TLC so i spent most of the month working on him and i still have 10 intercessors to paint may 1st to meet the deadline. >_< Tying him into the rest of the army was a bit tricky i guess, but settled on the helmeted head so i could match it to the army, the shoulder, the black robes, and of course the controversial green base rim. anyways, cnc appreciated unless it has to do with base rims. LOL jk jk jk.....

Happy painting everyone!

Truly lovely work (don't tell anyone but I think the goblin green base in fine )

My only really harsh critique (and I genuinely feel almost stupid for offering any as he's beautiful) is that I feel the sword looks a bit flat compared to the rest of the model - I know you don't want too high a contrast on the blade as it'll look too much like the armour but I'd be tempted to work in some glazes to change the tone on the metal or to help highlight the runes/where the blade meets the hilt a bit more

@ warpspawned. Thanks for honest critique. I purposefully dialed back the idea to do a full on sword osl because mainly i had to move on to the rest of the models i still need to paint for this slow grow league. That being said, youre probably right in that i can push those contrasts a bit further, shouldnt be difficult and i will probably do so in the future! Thanks again!

The paintjob looks REALLY nice!
I like the smooth blends and the "cloth-stripes" on the cloak especially :-)

Only tiny thing I could suggest to improve it, would be to put some letters on the scroll on his legs, so it looks like it has some writing on it too, like the one on his shoulders.

Paint the swizzle on there while you're at it. It looks like you forgot, even if you actually meant it to look that way.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

hey there thanks for you suggestion but no thanks. Ill leave it the color i wanted to in the first place, but it can definitely stand to be reinforced.
