Revamped based on input!

Termagants are a screen/chaff unit. Rippers pop up on distant objectives and try to go unnoticed or come up early to help with psyker denial via The Deepest Shadow. Six Hive Guard to max out Single-Minded Annihilation. Malanthropes to help mitigate opponent shooting. Triple Dakkafex with Acid Maws so they can pull duty shooting but won't fall short in combat. Neurothropes are there for Synapse and psyker support - notably Catalyst and Onslaught, which I think benefit this army pretty well. Leviathan big beasties shoot stuff up.

Simple, straight-forward concept. Gun-line 'Nids. All the cool-looking big critters and few horde units, so that this is actually a project I want to do hobby-wise.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Nice illegal list you have here, Hive Guard have a minimum squad size of 3, how you missed that I don’t know. Also flyrants have gone up by 20pts in the FAQ.

That’s easily resolved, 3x3 squads for the HG and 3x4 of the rippers, my personal concern would be whilst you have some solid long range fire you haven’t got much for up close swarms armies. If you haven’t read the latest FAQ worth a look especially as they are changing DS rules on turn one (well its beta rules currently)

Because I am human? Also, good to know. Listbuilding requiring about four documents with point values all over the place is making this crap annoying.

I have read them, which is why I am not screening heavily. Not as worried about killer alphas.

Recommendations for anti-swarm units? Preferrably a big critter? Dakkafex?

On that train of thought, I could drop the Tyrants and just go for some other HQ (Neuro?) and opt for more beasties - like a few pairs of Dakkafexes or some such.

Dakka fexes are a good shout I personally like tyrannofex with FBH but two dakkas will force enemy to split fire.

Updated the list to be potentially better.

Maybe your Carnifexes spearhead Detachment wants to be Leviathan fleet, because they want to move so the Kronos reroll 1s won't come in too often.

Meanwhile, the Exocrine and Tfex won't want to move that often, so Kronos fleet benefit them more.

Thus, I think you might want to swap the hive fleet chosen for your two spearhead detachments.

Oh man, that is hilarious. Yeah, that seems so absolutely obvious. Updated that. I will be painting them as Tiamet, so thankfully I can mess about with whatever does work best.

I would recommend using battle-scribe for list building it makes everything easier and is frequently upgraded. Why are not using Hive Tyrants?

Nope. I will forever do lists by hand. I'm old-fashioned like that.

As for Hive Tyrants, they don't really fit in both points and execution. In early versions I had them, but replaced them with Dakkafexes.
