Screaming Shining Spear

This is a very different Imperium list than what I would have run before the change to turn 1 deep striking. Before, the BA part of the army was clearly the main force, with the whole theme being turn 1 deep striking. So that's out. The problem became having enough on the board for potentially two turns that could both survive and actually do some damage. Before I had two main melee units with

character support, sanguinary guard for tanks/mc's, and DC for infantry. Supporting them were the sisters bunkered up as highly mobile dedicated anti-tank. Now that I can't really have that many eggs in one basket I've dropped the DC and Lemartes. Now the BA contingent is only the three scout units for battalion and the sanguinary guard star, which is quite beefy to be sure. However since I know the

star is arriving turn 2, the rest of the list is now built quite differently. The sisters remain the same, as dominions in repressors are nice and durable, and as I see it, largely unaffected tactically from the FAQ. The big change are the inclusion of the guard, specifically six total units that are meant to hide away out of LoS and have a good survival rate against gunline armies, while also being able to clear

away lots of infantry/screening. The three mortar teams and three wyverns are perfect for this, hopefully hiding as much out of LoS as possible, not needing LoS to fire, 48" range, mass anti-infantry fire that re rolls 1's to hit from Cadia and the Wyverns even re roll 1's to wound natively. I'm going to try it out against some other competitive lists and see what's what.
