Hello, this is a list I will be running to piss off all my mates. Just want some thoughts on what could be tweaked, but I'm pretty happy with it. Obviously it lacks anti tank, but 4 fusion guns might be able to knock one out a turn with the help of a squad or two. All infantry should be deadpretty quickly, or invalidated until it needs to be dealt with, by using assalts, area denial and superior speed. I will be using alaitoc rules of coarse. With the change to reserve deployment, how does this affect(effect?) The Shiftshroud of Alanssair?

Kicking the crap out of Hive fleet Leviathan

Well I'm about 80% sure that I would win if I played against this list unless I also played a cheesy silly list but I also love this list in every single way. It looks like it will be a lot of fun to field. Good on ya.

I don't think this is very hard for most TAC lists to deal with. Warp Spiders just aren't very good. I assume you're going for a reliable -2 to hit outside of 12", but you're most vulnerable to small arms anyway. You yourself have to be within 12" to shoot so you're not getting a whole lot out of being Alatoic after turn 1. I'd be fine playing against it since it seems much more like something you're doing because you like Warp Spiders than because you're trying to "piss off all your mates".

Even if every single one of your Warp Spiders is in range and near an Autarch, you still only kill about 50 Guardsmen in a turn. Meanwhile Guardsmen inside 12" kill Spiders more efficiently than they kill bolter Marines, even when you've used flicker jump.

Well the issue is that you lack any real ranged capabilities. Its all medium range and if you get close enough to use your guns then everyone else can both shoot (rapid firing) and charge you. Also if you get close enough you loose the Alaitoc benefit because you will already be within 12 in (the range of your guns).

The big issue however is that you have nothing that will actually be able to hurt tanks. Strength 6 deathspinners aren't bad but they have no ap except on hits of 6 which is largely unreliable, and you will be wounding virtually every tank on 5's which isn't great.

Warp spiders have nice defensive stats and decent mobility, but the thing is that they only have a slightly higher damage output than guardian defenders while costing more than twice as much.

What I'd change:

I'd suggest a doomseer (jinx warlock biker buddy optional) and 15-20 alaitoc dark reapers to help with tanks and to up the list's general killyness. DE scourges would work too, if you don't mind mixing in our evil twin faction.


You might be better off running the spiders as ulthwe btw. It's a less effective defensive buff, but it at least allows them to use their weapons.
