1999 pts, full mobility. Triple predator for the killshot stratagem. 6 platforms for smite on a 5+ to cast, all of them with 12" move and 24" range. That's 36" effective range for your un-hindered smites. Plus 15 fatecaster bows.

Ahriman and Exalted have +1 to cast, shamans can reroll their failed cast. With 15CP and 9 psykers on the table, we can always spend the points to get +2 to cast, which brings the dice requirements for smite on a 2+/3+ and allows for super smites on 9+ (8+ for Ahriman and the exalted). Add in the Daemon Prince and seer's bane for surprise close combat monsters, plus all the mobility this list can provide and I think we got ourselves a very nasty list. Any opinions?

I am trying a similar list myself. Haven't played it yet but hoping to get 1st game in this weekend. Do you think you have enough options to use 15CP on?

Each turn you are most likely using Great Sorcerer, Cabalistic Focus, and 1 reroll each turn. Possibly VotLW, Coruscating Beam (1 turn) or Blasphemous Machines situationally. You might get to use Kill Shot 1-2 turns, but with only 3 Preds you lose that option as soon as you lose 1. That can (and has to me) happen turn 1 before they even shoot. That is only 3cp per turn, I would say 1, maybe 2 extra cp used 3/5 turns.
You may not need 15cp to run this list. Downgrading to a Battalion + Spearhead and having 9cp might be enough for this list.

(If downgraded) You could combine some of the squads to make better use of strategems. VotLW on 5 units is ok, but on 10 Rubrics or 20-30 cultist in Rapid fire range it much better. Or dropping some 1 rubric squad, 1 Tzaangor shaman and adding a 4th Predator to lengthen the turns you can Kill shot. Just some options

(Stick with Brigade)

Curious why 3 Cultist and no Tzaangors?

I feel Tzaangors synergize good with Shamans. (would gain +1 to hit rolls from the Shamans AND reroll 1s to hit from Prince and Sorcerers). Also give you another option per turn to use CPs. (2cp to fight twice with Tzaangors)

My Brigade list is running this for troops instead.
2x 10 cultist w/ Autoguns
2x 10 Tzaangors w/ Blades
2x 5 Rubric Marines w/ Inferno Bolters

Also, I am also taking Helm of the Thirdeye on the Daemon Price. (gain a CP on 5+ when opp use a stragem). Cost 1cp and usually provides extra CP every game.

Everything else in our lists are identical. My list comes in at 1986. Don't know what I want to put that 14pt into yet.

I am currious what Psych Power you are taking on the characters besides smite? Obviously Smite'ing all around most turns, but what other powers are you taking for additional cast?

Thats my current thoughts. Will update you after my game this weekend after I see my list in action.

As someone just getting back into 40k and interested in a TSons army, is there a way to break this down into a 1k point army more palatable for just getting back into the game?

Drop the Predators and some Tzaangors and you'll have a solid 1000pt list.
