IA book, Hellwritghts are designed to increase the fighting potential of hellforged units and can repair legion and demon vehicles. Unfortunately, most of these vehicles have the machina malifica special rule that says "this model cannot regain lost wounds by any other means" according to the
FAQ. I am no expert, but doesn't this kind of make the hellwright a lot of points for a squishy unit who most likely cannot use his Master of Mechanism ability to do anything? My thought right now is to get 3 decimators and give them siege claws to boost them to 7 attacks a piece (with hellwright) but besides this tactic, all other dreadnoughts and vehicles in the
IA book are non-synergistic...
Master of Mechanisms also allows him to curse an enemy vehicle for a
MW on a 2+, and he can repair other things as well. For example, he could repair a regular Codex Land Raider/Defiler/<whatever> as they move up behind a large screen of Decimators/Dreadnoughts/whatever.
He can buff Hellforged units with his aura while simultaneously repairing/cursing other vehicles, and the Hellforged buff is kind of like a repair buff anyways because +1 attack = +1 slain model. I am building a Dark Mechanicus army so
EDIT:
My biggest gripe is he cannot repair Renegades and Heretics vehicles.
