Hey I am AFB and so new I should be an ork....

So I know this is a really stupid question but do Sgt's also have the normal long-arm of their unit. Specifically asking about Intercessors and Hellblasters

Welcome!

If I understand correctly, you should check the datasheet in question. Each one SHOULD tell you exactly what each member of the squad is armed with, with a special description of the sergeant (or aspiring champion, or whatever it's called) if that model is armed with different wargear.

Death Guard - "The Rotmongers"
Chaos Space Marines - "The Sin-Eaters"
Dark Angels - "Nemeses Errant"
Deathwatch

Sorry, what I was saying is that I am away from my books (thus can't get to the datacard right now) and really new. What I was asking was if someone could double check for me that the seargents have the normal guns of their units

This isn't a place to ask for rules wholesale. That attracts the GW legal jets. You're gonna have to wait till you can get your books.

In those two instances you mentioned, they do. But this is not universal and vary from unit to unit.
