Hello, I've recently picked up a few boxes of Thousand Sons rubric marines, I'm not certain that the main colour of blue and gold is right for me personally so had a little look into various other schemes/variations. Recently I've found a scheme called the Sons of the Cyclops, from what I can gather, these are a group of Thousand Sons that fight within the Black Legion, I wasn't able to find much info on these and wondered if anyone had any input regarding their colour schemes / history and how i'd go about painting them. I've attached a photo below of the Sons of the Cyclops! any information will be greatly appreciated!

I've also recently found another Thousand Sons scheme online, but was unable to find any information about the scheme. Again if anyone could help me clue up on these guys too that would be brilliant!

Thanks for any response in advance! Kind regards

Other scheme I've found!

The people on this forum would have better info than me, but having briefly thought about doing the same, I would have done it by spraying down the minis with Retributor Armor and then using whatever P3's black ink is in the recessed sections, touching up the gold if/when spillover occurs, and then proceeding with the gold just like in GW's YouTube painting tutorial. That seems the simplest way to go to me.

I've added a picture of mine; I'm using the red ink for my Thousand Sons, but black ink should work the same, and mean less recesses/edges to wash.

There's a few official (modern) color schemes but saying they have their own "fluff" is a bit of a stretch.

This page might also help, although not all of these warbands have examples of color schemes with the current models:

@Arcanis161 Hey man! thanks for the tips on painting! I'd looked at the Warhammer TV tutorial on youtube and thought I'd us parts of that whilst painting! Yours look great! However I have a 30k army in the works with very similar colours!

@meleti Hello! thanks for the links! The Grand Order of Hermetic Blades look good! The lexicanum page is definitely something I'll take a look at for information! thanks for the help!
