Hey guys, new player here. I started collecting Necrons like a month ago and since then I managed to buy enough for a 1k point list. I currently have:

An Overlord and a Cryptek as HQs, 20 warriors and 10 immortals as troops, a Triarch Stalker and 5 Lychguard as Elites and 6 Scarabs and 3 Wraiths as Fast Attack.

With this I planned a list that looks something like this:

++ Battalion Detachment +5CP (Necrons) [48 PL, 982pts] ++

Dynasty Choice: Dynasty: Either Nephrekh or Sautekh

+ HQ +

Cryptek [5 PL, 85pts]: Canoptek Cloak, Staff of Light

Overlord [6 PL, 139pts]: Resurrection Orb, Voidscythe, Warlord
- Artifact that upgrades the Orb
- Morale-Negating Trait

+ Troops +

Immortals [4 PL, 85pts]: Tesla, 5x Immortal

Immortals [4 PL, 85pts]: Tesla, 5x Immortal

Necron Warriors [12 PL, 240pts]: 20x Necron Warrior

+ Elites +

Either the Triarch Stalker w/ Heat Ray [8 PL, 171pts] or the Lychguard w/ Sword and Shield [8 PL, 170pts]

What do you think of this list? Would you add Scarabs and change something in return? What dinasty would you go for? And how would you expand from here to 1.5k and 2k?

Been playing some tournies now.

Warriors are mvp in this edition with mephrit. -2 ap rapid fire is disgusting

Ghost arks and Doomsday Arks are now must haves.

Orb is meh and the cryptek should have the chronometron. the cloak is useless

Triarch stalker is awful.

Wraiths are fine, but they are bullet sponges

Scarabs are amazing, cheap and that suicide mortal wound this is AWESOME

Destroyers are fine now as well.

I could teleport the warriors with the overlord turn 1 to kick some faces in with the dinasty bonus + MWBD, but then the cryptek, the immortals and the lychguard get left behind, so I'm not sure haha.

And yeah, I plan on getting a Deceiver, but I'm still not sure what else could work with it and would expand organically from where I am right now!
