Hi Chaps,

So I was messing around with a test skeleton yesterday, and it looks really cool if you paint them Standard Mechanicus Grey, wash with Drackenwald Nightshade and dry brush with Terminus Stone.

Now I'm not very familiar with AoS, but as I understand it flexibility is the name of the game.
Therefore, my justification for having blue skellies would be along the following lines;

Following the defeat of Nagash at the hands of Archaon, a necrarch vampire fled to a hidden fastness in the Realm of Shadows (oooh spooky).
Whilst conducting his experiments with the shadowy magics of that realm, his minions have become so saturated that it has seeped into their very bones!
With Nagash's recent return to power, the necrarch's legions march to once again in the war to extinguish all life...

Does that sound like a reasonable excuse?

My Sylvaneth and Daughters of Khaine have metallic leaves and vines, and melusai have metal scales as well because they came from the realm of metal, so I would say this is rather believable and not farfetched at all.

Haha wow metal leaves sounds pretty cool!

Thanks, I think I'll give it a go. Might be that I don't like the effect when done on a larger unit but we shall see.

There is precedent. The Ironbark Wargrove fits that description, Adam. Also, Kroem, that's well within the lore of AoS. Sounds really cool. You have any pics to share?
