The new FAQ has stated that models can disembark from a valk that has deepstruck using the Elysian drop troops rule. It doesn't say whether they can move after that, seeing as it happens at the end of the movement phase. What are your thoughts on models being able to move once disembarking in this scenario?

Cheers

The valk comes in at the end of the movement phase, so no, the disembarking unit cannot be selected to move.

Also note that now, your valk can no longer deepstrike outside of your deployment zone on turn 1, and neither can the disembarked unit move out of the deploy zone (they aren't infiltrating or redeploying, but have come in from reserves).

From the other FAQ answers on the subject of "end of phase" effects, my guess would be No, and the valkyrie at that point is serving as an over-glorified drop-pod.

No, you can't disembark.

Yes you can disembark, the FAQ specifically stated this. The question was can the disembarked models then move, which most people believe to be no, such as in the situation of a drop pod

Fair enough I hadn't caught that FAQ. This is the very definition of Special Snowflake FAQ however, so while you can disembark you're still limited by all the other rules/errata/Special Snowflake FAQs of the game, so you couldn't move.

My bad, sorry for the misinformation.
