On the 1st of May, Crooked Dice are launching their first ever kickstarter (but not their last this year apparently!) to fund the full Children of the Fields Episode guide and casts

crooked Dice wrote:On 1st May, we'll be launching our first Kickstarter campaign! It will run for two weeks and aims to fund the production of over 20 miniatures and a new PDF Programme Guide and deck of profile cards for a folk horror cast - the Children of the Fields.

Children of the Fields has been an idea since 1st edition 7TV - based on one of Helena's wonderful TV listings in the first rulebook.

Inspired by many influences from the darker side of 70s children's television and fiction, this folk horror programme guide draws on the spirit of Summerisle, Devil's End, Mileaway, Milbury and many more to help create the village of Winterly and it's bizarre inhabitants. The miniatures have been brought to life by the talents of Ernst Veingart, Steve Saleh, Andrew May and Iain Colwell. If the campaign is successful it will unlock even more miniatures including two large resin creatures.

BUT... we need your help to spread the word. Feel free to froth manically about Crooked Dice to anyone who will listen. We recommend bus stops, post office queues and doctor's waiting rooms, as people rarely run away.

So stayed tuned to Facebook and the Kickstarter platform for more news and meanwhile, warn all your fiends that the Crow King is on the march.

Speaking of Facebook. They have been teasing some images on their group, but for those of you that choose not to use that place... here they are:

These are some of the figures for the campaign

With a couple of stretch goals teased

The book will be part of the initial pledge as a pdf, it is just the printed book that is a stretch/add-on

They already have some Children of the Fields cast members for sale, but I would imagine these will be part of the pledge levels as well to get the ball rolling

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!

An absolutely excellent system, and the figures are some of the best small company figs in the business. Not to mention the crossover appeal. I forone can not throw enough money at this to get everything and the kitchen sink that I want to.

Congratulations on the KS, and I will be getting in on this one for sure. Is it easier to order the figures direct from you, or do you have a good distributor in the states? I need a few add-ons to compliment this range, that I'd like to get before the big push starts.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

very nice indeed, very characterful.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

The Straw Man has now been unlocked

“On the Winterly village green, you will find the beloved towering construct of wheat, bone and branch that stands sentinel over the village - affectionately known as the Strawman. After every harvest, tokens of the village's bounty are laid at his feet, and it is said that young lovers lay under his branches to ensure a fruitful coupling.

Legend claims that the Strawman sleeps, awaiting the day when he will most be needed. Then he will awaken, infused by the spirit of the land, and hold back the darkness and protect the village from the very Devil himself...”
