Played a game of Epic Armageddon recently and having not played this for +10 years, we were a bit rusty. We came across some situations we couldn't quickly find an answer to so if any guru's know.....
1. Formation declares charge against an unactivated Formation and Assaults. Defender wins, Attacker withdraws. Can the Defender be activated as normal as they've yet to be activated this turn, or is their turn effectively over as they've participated in an Assault?
2. Ork Warlord has no Stats for attacking or shooting, but has a +1 attack line. For what? Does this just grant the unit it's attached to an additional attack in Assault? Warlord needs to be attached to your most expensive Formation, normally a Great Gargant, so does he grant the Great Gargant an additional Assault attack?
3. If a vehicle hasn't moved, can you disembark and Assault as part of your Charge?
4. Only weapons with an AA value can attack aircaft? (we had no Ork weapons with an AA value so how do you shoot an enemy Aircaft?)
5. If a Formation starts it's activation broken, what can it actually do? Confused on this one. Marshall? Withdraw (although this isn't an action), do you need to roll to activate it?
We had a great game, 4000pts full of nostalgia. I remember playing Space Marine and being inudated with Cards and multiple weapon rules, I prefer the Armageddon rules. It's a real shame this game died a death. It's a shame the new version won't be the same scale, probably been done to prevent people using the old models with the new rules.
