A friend was kind enough to give me House Goliath with the manual and was wondering if I should glue as is and bring my models to a first game or play a first game borrowing and kit bash to an army's point list knowing what may be best later? Thanks.

Goliath tend to have less models than most gangs as they are the most expensive. If you build one of each weapon you are unlikely to have a double up for a while. The only exception is the stub cannon, you may want to start with 2 of these as they are cheap
