I just glued my gift of ten models of House Goliath! I got a list online with lots of stubguns. What could I be playing with after tonight which is my first full game? My demo game with three models each I was House Escher and got melee by House Goliath. Thanks!

I haven’t play new necromunda, but if it like the original you can’t guesstimate a given load out

If your juves are killed and you have 2 gangers captured and your leader is injured

What do you expect to give them if you need your points to recruit new juves or a bounty hunter

Top-tier loadout, is that the same as most powerful loadout? In that case, grenade launchers on every single model (Leader, Champions and all Gangers).

Necromunda is not well balanced for power gaming.

I would recommend maxing out on champions (2) They generate income and it is very hard to continue playing if they are lost.

The grenade launcher is the goliaths best weapon but they're stats are geared to assault. Nerves of steel is a must.

Thanks! My only two out of actions I did on my opponent came from my grenade launcher! I was also told quantity beats quality and juves were amazing. Thanks!

I think you want to start with as many bodies as possible so light load outs to begin with. Lots of stub guns and cheap cc weapons to permit at least 1 GL and some heavy stuff On you leader and champs.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Assault works for Goliaths in the boxed game, but it's not so hot on a 3d table. They're a bit better in melee but they're wasting their time trying to get there. But they're alright at shooting! Cheap grenade launchers, stub cannons (one of the few basic weapons that are threatening to other Goliaths), autoguns and lasguns on the trading post. Their main benefit in melee is having T4, and that applies to shooting just the same.

On other topics: More bodies is good, but juves are not. It's not like the old game, where they'd quickly become gangers with a couple of extra advances along the way. They start weak, learn slowly and have permanently lower maximum stats. Plus, whatever cheap sidearm you gave them as a juve is bolted to their hand for the rest of their life, which may or may not be a problem. After a thousand years they become livestock champions and start to make money. This lets you go above your normal allowance of champions, but also means you can't hire good champions.

Leveling up juves to become champions ignores the normal allowance for champions? Where is this written? I'm asking cause I never figured it out.

Well this isn't the kind of game that clarifies anything, rules are just written and left (another example: There's no particular point where experience for gangers is checked and dealt with, so gangers (and only gangers) may get their advances midgame if they should happen to hit 6xp). The developers probably didn't notice. But as written, the restriction of two champs plus one for every 10 rep only applies when hiring champions. Maybe it's unintentional, but also it doesn't make sense that juves would either advance or not based on rep.

Essentially start with nerves of steel on champs and leader, maybe take a gl on leader and 1 ganger, perhaps give champs renderizers everyone else should get a stub gun and a brute cleaver for the +1 to hit in melee. From there in campaign you can go with stims and frag grenades to make everyone an 18' grenade launcher and make them tougher, especially champs who might not be able to get into melee easily. After that there are plenty of fun guns in the trading post but rarely will anything beat a grenade launcher.
Gangers are also your new best thing due to the way they level up because experience is not particularly easy to get on a per game basis.
